I just had to do this I love Link and Linkle is adorable. People seemed to STILL think that Linkle is the female Link. No, she is not. Nintendo said, "She may look familiar."They didn't mean that looks like Link. They were referring to the official guide that fans saw that showed Linkle's concept art. They meant, "Some of you may have seen her before." Plus, like I said before, it official states that Linkle is "little sister like" to Link. But, I guess some people love to dream. Haha and some people still think that Link in the new Zelda game in a girl. No people... Aonuma already said back at E3 2014, "We can't show off a new trailer for Zelda without showing Link." And he referred to Link as "he"ANYWAY, I adore Linkle and can't wait to play her in Hyrule Warriors!

Yeah but they totally made us think she was a female Link, that may not be what they say she is but it is her core concept. If I'm wrong I would like someone to explain why her name is "Linkle".

Haha in Hyrule Warriors: Legends Linkle goes on a quest because she believes she is the reincarnation of Link. I haven't gotten a chance to play her story yet but from what Nintendo revealed, that's what's going on. Linkle believes she is the legendary hero because of a story her grandmother told her growing up. Eventually, they said that she does meet up with Link and the others. The name Linkle was chosen because she is like Link's little sister in the game. At least, that is how he sees her. Yes, I think they were going to make a female Link but then realized how much it wouldn't of made sense. I am very happy that Linkle is her own character now and not just a female version of Link. Now she has her own story and everything. If Linkle was a female Link, she would have just been a costume choice for Link and that wouldn't be fun. There will never be a female Link because every reincarnation of Link is male and will always be male. Hylia said that she would make sure that they lived on forever. So, she would be reborn as Princess Zelda and he would be reborn as Link. Haha that's everything know about it. I love Linkle. She is awesome. There is no need to make her a female Link. She is perfect as is. She is a bad ass in her own right

Lol no. She won't be. Her storyline in Hyrule Warriors: Legends is her trying to find who she really is. And she is NOT Link, nor will she ever be Link. Most people know that and have accepted that fact. Linkle doesn't need to be a counterpart. She is her own character now and that was a smart decision by Nintendo. They kept the name Linkle because it is cute. Not because OMG SHE IS SECERTLY FEMALE LINK. Haha no. Not even. It's just her name. Her character now is who she is and who she forever will be. I don't get why people are so obsessed with the idea of having a female Link. It wouldn't make sense in the series. There are plenty of female protagonist in other games. Why try to change something that has been around for years? It will always be Zelda and Link. Never Zelda and Linkle. Just because she is not the main protagonist, does not mean that she is somehow less important. Besides, if people want a female Link, they are more than welcome to write their own fanfiction lol.

Maybe in a side game but as a main game it wouldn't make sense. In the manga in the Hyrule Historia Hylia says that Link and herself will be reborn every hundred years. For Link to be reborn as a girl wouldn't make much sense. Yes, every Link is different and not truly the same but they are all reborn in the image of the first Link. That is what Hylia promised because he sacrificed himself to save the people of Hyrule.
I think Linkle will be awesome though. I love her so much already and I am glad that Nintendo made her a separate character from Link. Now she has her own story and looks like a real bad ass with those two crossbows. I can't wait to play as her. She will probably end up being my new favorite alongside Link and Midna
