Why Amy as a Star Sapphire?
Am I actually going to take the time to explain this?...Yes, yes I am. Cuz Star Sapphires ain’t all sugar n’ rainbows and moon crystal power. Star Sapphire rings don’t just come to people in Love, they come to people whom have lost love or are generally suffering because of that love (does this makes any sense?). Amy’s Love for Sonic is unrequited, no matter what she does he never returns her affections, one time she even had to watch as he chose a human princess of her and even stood by idly as he was kissed by said princess. Did she go berserk and throw a fit? Nope! She let it happen, because as long as Sonic would be alive and happen in the end, she didn’t care. Loving through sacrifice, this is what Star Sapphires do....most of the time.

Advantages over natural ability?:
Ever been hit with a crystal Piko Piko hammer? As a Star Sapphire, Amy would be able to construct crystal based structures. She would also be able to incase foe’s in violet crystal, where they would be shown images of what they desire most, that is, unless they can manage to escape. Amy’s ring can transport her to any loves in danger of losing that love/life ( romantic love, family love, deep friendships etc.). So if Amy’s ring tells her that her love, Sonic, is in mortal danger, she could go to him in a heart beat, no matter where he is. Now, lets say two people, whom are deeply in love, are in danger. Person A is fine, but Person B is about to die. Amy would be able to take half of the life force of Person A and give it to Person B, saving them. So if they were to live out their natural lives, they’d die together.

Disadvantages?:
The violet light of Love is on the furthest end of the emotional spectrum, opposite of Rage. Because of this, just like a regular person in Love, sometimes it can make you crazy, so crazy that if the person you Love hurts you, you want to make them suffer as much as you are (Carol/Hal is to Amy/Sonic). Depending on Amy’s mode her judgement can be severely clouded, luckily this rarely happens.

Love and Rage are opposites of each other, both emotions based on action first, thought later. Both these emotions can make a person become irrational and neither can exist when they other is present. Star Sapphire Amy and Red Lantern Shadow would clash.

Clothes?:
As I mentioned in Indigo Tribe Blaze’s description, Star Sapphires are not the most ‘naked’ as most believe. Although most of the time part of their chests and midsections are revealed this is not always the case. More recent Star Sapphires have shown variance in their outfits, some not showing skin at all. Also, sometimes being a Star Sapphire means instant weave.

Amy still has Love for Sonic, or at least she thinks she does. Unbeknownst to herself, her affections have turned elsewhere, but all she knows as she still feels love, but for who? The answer may angry her.
