Ok sooo... Before u sue me for taking that many creative liberties, please read this comment, its a long one but filled with important information about the lore of both this transformation and this reboot series itself. And with all that settled, let us begin.
With the fifth day of redesigning Ben's alien transformations for a reboot project I'm working on, I give you Ben's Petrosapien form: DiamondHead
This has been a long time coming, since Diamondhead is my favorite alien transformation and has gone through MANY stages of redesigning, so I'm thrilled to show u guys the final results. With petrosapiens playing a BIG role in the reboot project I'm working on, I really tried to "flesh them out" (both metaphorically and litterly) as much as I possibly could. Originally, the idea I had for petrosapiens was that they are strictly made out of crystals, to a point where if a strong light source was pointed directly at them, you could see through them. Then I wanted to go with them being living rocks that grow diamonds out of them, but was still not happy with the results, so I went with something quite more organic and unique instead. Hope u'll like it!
Petrosapiens, now a distinct species, used to be a pieceful race of silicone based life forms, with tall, muscular humanoid bodies, Bovidae like legs and the toughest skins in their respectful solar system. But the thing that they were mostly known for were their crystal, spear like heads and their powers of crystal manipulation.
Petrosapiens have this thick, leather/silicone like skin, that is quite soft to a touch but extremely hard to hurt or pierce through in any way. It can sustain heat up to 2000°C , is absolutely bulletproof and can sustain unbelievable amount of damage. But this skin still can be pierced, not with a magic high tech sword created by the greatest minds of Galvan with an absolute power, but can be simply pierced from within. Underneath the skin, they've got their muscle anatomy, very similar to the one of us humans. The muscles themselves have this unique capability of increasing/decreasing their mass, not to make the organism feel bigger or scarier, but to move out of the way or to push the crystals that are growing from the skeleton beneath. The skeleton beneath the muscles itself on the other hand, is made completely out of one of the rarest, toughest and strongest substances in the universe: Taydenite (the chat goes wild)
As they grow older, the crystals of their bones get bigger and bigger, to a point when Taydenite will grow out of their skin and create a layer of armor over it. That gets more extreme throughout their supposed 1700 earth years of living, to a point that they become these giant moutains of crystals with barely any range of movement. At the end of their life's journeys, they would go somewhere pieceful, away from their home cityes to pass away in solitude, where the crystals would outgrow them from within, blocking their lungs, pierce through all the organs until they eventually form these giant rock formations that cover all the landscape of Petropia.
On the bright side, when young, they can manipulate their growth of crystals. Not only can they grow it out through their skins to form armour, they can also either deform it (into various weapons and tools) or shoot it out of their bodies as a form of projectiles. They can then manipulate those projectiles at a long range. Their powers can be as creative as possible, to a point where they'd built homes, structures, cities, do art and so much more.
Unfortunately, their biology is what led them to their extinction. Not for their personal or biological errors, since they were one of the purest jewels of the universe in terms of their DNA, but it was the greed and lust for fortune of other alien species in their galaxy that had a "particular" interest in Petrosapiens. That's what later led to the extinction of their species... I must stop here due to major spoilers for the series, so be free to speculate untill it's answered in the show itself some day.
Diamondhead's dna sample is now the last known Petrosapien in the universe. Or is he?
