Description
First off, an author's note:
After finishing my last test of this semester with a solid C+ I'm soo happy to finally focus on the stuff I actually like, this series in particular. Also, I truly wanted to make this one as good as I could and although I'm still not 100% happy with him (mby your comments might change my prospective) I think he turned out quite ok. Now let's get it started.
So without further ado, let's dive into Ben's Kineceleran form: XLR8 (no chance I'm renaming this one)
As per usual, I'll be splitting this one in 2 parts:
1st off: the BIOLOGY and SOCIETY
Kinecelerans are a bipedal humanoids from the planet Kinet that have a high resemblance to Earth's many current and prehistoric reptiles. They have both normal, scaly blue skin and feathers that grow on their elbows, chests, the tops of their heads and stretching all the way down the hump on their backs. They've also got long tails and very muscular legs that all add to their most universally known ability: Super speed
Due to their home planet being a disc shaped rock that spins 24 times faster then ours, the evolution blessed them with both reflexes, minds and bodies that can function in these conditions. Every muscle in their body is super sensitive and made to move at spead up to 1400km/h (or 870m/h), without ripping apart, overheating or hurting the creature. They're reflexes are also extremely fast, with a reaction time up to 6000 microseconds (almost 20 times faster then best human reflexes). Their brains and organs also function much faster, with them even evolving an extra heart to pump their blood faster.
Their bodies as stated before are very aerodynamic, but on top of them being superhuman fast on daily basis, they can also accelerate their speed to the point when they can even brake earth's sound barrier. They do that with their feathers to be exact. Both their skeleton and their skin contain high amounts of metal inside that also carries to the feathers that are magnetically changed. They then naturally use this to form small electromagnetic charges via static. These charges would then build up untill propelling them at high speeds similar to how Ion electromagnetic rocket thrusters work. They've got a long spine that stretches into a long tail so that they can contain their aerodynamic shape and still keep the balance. They also use tails as whips while hunting for their food (primal food being aquatic life forms that they hunt at small bodies of water).
So with their whole biology being based on their speed, the same theme effected their entire culture and society. Due to their bodies being magnetically charged, Kinecelerans build their whole cities on magnetic plates that use negative charge that helps them move more smoothly and even faster. They use special helmets that not only hold their feathers in place and keep that aerodynamic shape, but also come with a high-tech visor that gives them facial protection and holographic display built into it. They also created special footwear (resembling roller skates) that uses magnetic spheres for easier and more focused movement. They also use their sharp, whetstone ask claws for editional support while "drifting" and other extreme movement.
Tho Kinecelerans are fast to us and the rest of our galaxy, they don't feel being THAT fast themselves when they're on Kinet, where they're basically just humans that are very speed up. But their superspeed does come with some minor setbacks. One of those is orbital sickness that happens when they live Kinet and are exposed to the change in orbit speed for the first time. But after a few hours they learn to adapt to it. They also have troubles with magnets (that like to attach themselves onto their feathers) or strong magnetic fields that tend to send them off course.
And now: The DESIGN:
This design was highly influenced by the combination of traditional feathered dinosaurs (like Utah raptors and Deinonychus), Basilisk lizards and GOGO from my hero 6. As many of you know, I like to explore and ground each alien and their abilities, so it was fun working on this one.
That's it for now. Again, if any of yall have any questions a out this species or this whole fan series feel free to ask, it truly makes my day. Either way, have a great one and as always, keep on rockin fandom! ✌💫
