MOAR ANDALITES.So... It's Gafinilan and Mertil. THE SADDEST COUPLE(?) IN THE WORLD. I wanted an excuse to experiment with colors as well as draw out different male body-types... kinda. Mertil may be a touch /too/ girly. Oh well. Since Gaffy is covering up most of Mertil's butt, I'll upload him on his own to scraps.

I really like the way you draw andalites - your interprewtion of both, their body language just fits. I really liked them - it's so sad that they were just forgotten in the later books

Same here! Interesting book - Ax's reaction was particularly interesting, and also awful - but yeah, Gafinilan and Mertil went straight to my list of ultimate OTPs of all time.

I love your depiction of all the different andalites. The body language, and anatomy looks awesome. I love the dainty hooves you give them. I also really like the idea of the pale blues, and purples in their pelts rather than the royal blue and gold usually on the covers. It's nice to see some Animorph fanart sooooo many years after the fact too, thanks for keeping the memories alive!!

Gafinilan and Mertil! You drew them, yay. ...I totally shipped these two before I even knew what slash was, I swear. They were so tragic, and barely showed up, and yet I liked them so much... Never got this far in the series but these pictures make me wish I had. You get so much expression into mouthless faces, it's amazing. I especially love that little hand-holding sketch in the upper left.

I can't get over how amazing these are and normally I'd have something more relevant to say but I'm way to excited about how amazing their facial expressions are. I always thought the book covers / illustrations of andalites never quite did them justice because they looked so stiff. So much love.
