This is amazing! I love your art. I like the way baby Ax looks, he's a perfect bouncy little toddler. I like that his stalk eyes are both pointing forward and he has not even grown his tail blade yet. I also like the spots, I'm a huge fan of baby andalites with stripes and spots. I also like that Elfangor has his stalk eyes looking in different directions and one looking after his little brother. Also is it just me or does Elfangor have kind of a square butt? Looks a little flat but apart from that I really like how you drew Elfangor. I like the muted colors of the background and the derishoul trees really help add another dimension. Overall, nice artwork. I'm a huge fan.

you're right about Elfangor's square butt.. i think that was leftover from my practice with stylizing deer haha. plus i have some ways to go when it comes to colouring with dimension. but hey thanks a bunch, i appreciate the comment!

I'm starting to practice drawing andalites myself
I found my old collection of animorph books and since it was so long ago that I barely remember any in what happen in the stories, it is like i'm experiencing it all over again
and since I'm not a kid and can draw, I now see how HORRIBLE the computer generated image of Ax looked on the books. D: IT is NOT pleasing to look at.
so it is wonderful to see fans give better drawing interpretationsΒ of the andalites and a better image to use when I'm reading the books

Aww! I really love little Ax. You've perfectly captured that bubbly, bouncy, happiness that only toddlers can pull off. I also like watching where you have their eyes pointing: little single-minded Ax having all of his facing forward, while Elfangor is keeping one eye on his little brother.

Oh wow, such a whacky nostalgia trip! I used to just devour Animorph books when I was younger, the Andalites were so cool. I only had a few of them though, and damn I miss them now, haha. This take on the Andalites is really, really awesome (and so cute)! The little tike just looks so happy. The fawn spots are a really nice touch.
