Description basically that means time flys or is often put on grave stones, another appropriate title would be fugit hora, or in the fleeting hour in other words. death. so i dunno i was bored and some kid wanted me to draw something and he said he didnt care what as long as it had a skull (the guys obsessed with tattoos) and since i had been working on my comic for a while and felt i couldnt go further that night or i'd have to start another page all together since i can only do so much at work. i agreed. heres what came out. he said, well i wanted to get what you were drawing as a tattoo...but couldnt you have some hands holding roseries? it has more meaning....not some weird chick with wings...im pretty big and im taller than him, and it pissed me off but he was a college football player and hes dumb and has a bad attitude so i didnt screw with him except some scoffing and telling him how if he wanted that he could go to the local tattoo parlor. not like it matters i enjoyed drawing this very much. i love drawing angels because it has my two fav things to draw, people and wings. dunno why i like drawing em so much. i used to hate drawing people, and i never thought about drawing wings until a couple years ago and now they'res one somewhere even hidden in most of my work.

Wow man, this is great. I'm really impressed with the quality of the wings. Great job with the texturing too. the skin looks soft and firm and the skull looks rugged.

And the cloth looks really nice. I have always had a problem stretching cloth like that. You did it superbly here. Great work!

man cloth apparently is really hard according to my illustration professor, he said they have entire courses on cloth painting/drawing. im glad all the textures were apparent, either that or you have a really damn sharp eye (prolly both) hehe. thanks dude so much

korpus In reply to Lilcochinito [2004-09-01 04:31:40 +0000 UTC]

Cloth is really hard cause you have to know the cloth folding naturally technique, plus whatever it happens to be folding over. Your lucky if it comes easy to you. I usually have to actually take a piece of cloth and hang it over something of equal density to get an idea of how it will hang.

One thing I know for sure, you can always tell when someone does the stretching cloth incorrectly. It is really ugly!

hahaha yeah i know what you mean but, i do things like that as well. if im drawing people sometimes i have to take a pose so i can understand the balance, or hold something of equal weight that the person in the picture is holding if they have a prop or something. thats where i have my most trouble pose and angels

i love the way you use that blur here and there , and the way you make those wings ...
drawing people mm...
but drawing wings it's to hard for me ...
i don't like it .

Lilcochinito In reply to Crayman [2004-09-01 16:50:20 +0000 UTC]

thank you very much dude, and yes it was hard for me until very recently, it seems that once i figure something out i can learn it quickly its just the figuring out thats really hard. wings can be a real pain. and thank you, im glad the textures/blurs are noticable

IoKra [2004-08-11 14:52:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah this is really good. I would have told the kid to get lost myself like, unless if he had came and asked nicely. I hate drawing people but hopefully il get over it like you have so that then i can draw em just as good. Nice ass an nice wings, lol.

Lilcochinito In reply to IoKra [2004-09-01 16:57:15 +0000 UTC]

hahaha im sure you will you just gotta figure it out, thats the hard part, after that learning it is really easy, its just getting over the form and stuff. and thank you, i didnt really figure wings till this past year but i think they're coming along good from what people say. thanks again!

Thats really great! It sort of reminds me of Boris Vallejo, the womans body is very well shaped And ofcourse a skull is always a bonus, really top-notch stuff.
