Description More old sketches for the AU AHE successor state the New Hakkorian Empire, might as well post these.

Glint Eclipse: One of the more-interesting, yet straightforward specialized Eclipse warriors, the Glint Eclipse is more of a sentient hyper-lethal strobe light generator than a conventional soldier. The armor of the Glint Eclipse troopers are covered in beam emitter discs and strips along strategic points all across it. Often times the most-effective thing a Glint Eclipse can do is open themselves up and pose in the middle of a battlefields to act as point-defense against heavie ordnance or drop right in the middle of an enemy horde or formation and fire everything omnidirectionally. Each beam fired by a Glint Eclipse is of directable nature, meaning that finely-tuned neurodirected energy streams can bend the beams in whatever manner the Glint Eclipse sees as necessary, useful for circumventing otherwise-solid cover and defenses. The armor of the Glint Eclipse is especially-reinforced against energy weaponry and thermal attacks, due to the structural integrity needed to remain functional and not warp whilst using its own firepower for prolonged periods of time. The Glint Eclipse utilizes the same technology as other specialized heat-based suits, such as Drake and Void Eclipses. The Glint armor is rated at 3.26 SDV (standard durability value) based against Eclipse standards against general threats and has a more-powerful internal reactor compared to standard suits due to the nature of its weaponry and lack of the micromissile arrays ubiquitous to Hakkorian battle armor. Of course, the type of beams fired by the Glint armor varies depending on the situation at hand, with a more-advanced personal tactical servitor to dedicate more processimg power to coordinating numerous precise attacks at once. In addition, the beams can be tuned to be gravitic, adding tractor and repulsor functions, and multiple emitters can concentrate to form larger beams.

Aquatic Trooper: While at first glance this armor and soldier type is simply an underwater warfare specialist, the Aquatic troopers are adept at engaging in high-speed complex tactics in nearly any kind of liquid or fluid not powerful enough to desteoy or corrupt the suit. The suit can swim through noxious fluid, crude oils, viscous solutions, slimes and enzymes, and uses advanced sonar and psy-scanners to paint an accurate simulation for the user to know all of the particular features and possible dangers of the environment. The suit also has specialized shaped energy shields which help to move more-aerodynamically through any medium it's operating in. The suit is designed for advanced maneuvers in high-viscosity, high-pressure mediums, making it faster and more agile in most other environments. The suit is fully-sealed to the subatomic level but contains a series of energy field filters to gain breathable air from outside sources if needed and the compact solid-air reservoir inside the suit is depleted or damaged. The suit contains several inbuilt weapons such as arm-blasters and point-defense emitters. The helmet also contains a pair of tri-linked miniblasters on the sides to prevent close-in attacks or ambushes. The Aquatic trooper is equipped with weapon pods which have plating designed to be more-maneuverable in fluid and have reinforced containment shields for the rounds to have better range in denser fluids and fire faster through them. The armor has a rating of 1.74 SDV (standard durability value) though it is several times as effective against shock-based and gravity-based attacks due to being rated for extreme-deep-pressure. The Eclipse variant of this suit has proportionally-scaled up resilience.

The soldier on the bottom of the image is just an example of a reinforced Hakkorian assault unit, utilizing heavily-equipped troops for hostile environment clearing. The armaments and equipment of a soldier can tell a great deal on what kind of enemy the soldier is expecting to fight. In this case, the soldier is equipped with numerous missile projectors, 8 of the micromissile variety and 2 independently-mounted larger ordnance launchers. This tells that the soldier is expected to face an enemy which can press a lot of force, most-likely with large swarms of individually-weak units to overwhelm but they have enough tougher units to warrant larger ordnance. The soldier is also equipped with an arm-mounted cosmic ray blaster, meaning that his enemy is expected to deploy obstacles or units of extremely-durable and tough nature occassionally, which normal infantry are not equipped to handle. The soldier's other arm has an integrated retractile blade on the blaster, signifying that the soldier's enemy either has small enough HVTs that they can be hooked and blasted, or that the soldier expects to be in close combat sometimes, though uncommonly due to the limited nature of such a weapon. The soldier is also equipping a set of shredder shield projectors. Such aggressive defense systems are indicative of the soldier needing to fight an enemy which will charge into melee or strike out with extendable melee weapons or implements such as tentacles.

One thing I like to see on futuristic stories or artworks is the use of archaic-futuristic weaponry, like shields, swords and bows

You know, a weaponized strobe-light suit is something I don't think I would have ever thought of. Like ever. But it l like it! Aside from just the cool appearance of the armor, the idea of having a mobile point-defense unit that also serves as infantry is a pretty neat idea. I also gotta give you props for just the general aesthetic and appearance of the aquatic trooper; I reaaally like what you did with the design there too.

Thanks! I wanted to design a suit which had an actual practical reason to have glowing lines all over, essentially, and the idea of a suit studded with beam weapons appealed to me since it would be extremely-precise and be able to cover numerous angles at once.

Pretty cool, I can't wait to see more and fully scanned art especially the fighter and ships.
