Carina! Gli slavi non si pronunceranno, però gli slavi devono anche capire che il mondo romanzo che hanno sommerso aveva un fascino notevole, che le loro lingue con 3 numeri e 7 casi non potranno mai rimpiazzare.
Solo una nota, "istrioto" è il maschile, "istriota" è solo femminile, il termine è moderno (G.I.Ascoli) e non si declina come "beota, idiota, oplita" e via dicendo.
Comunque dopo averlo sentito (qui>www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaMZmy… ), credo che l'istrioto più che una lingua a parte sia il più bel dialetto della lingua veneta, dal quale il veneto dovrebbe trarre la vecchia e autentica versione di sé stesso.

dialetto veneto!?!? no il veneto è molto più diverso dalla lingua standard, a me sembra di sentire un corso cismontano che ha abitato anni in Friuli , a prova di ciò la linguistica ufficiale lo classifica come una lingua italo-dalmata, comunque grazie per il link, molto interessante, a proposito conosci video che mettano insieme tutti i dialetti (o lingue) di Italia o almeno in parte (in Francia ce l'hanno, non saremo mica da meno vero???? ^^)? buoni video sul piemontese?

di sicuro la cultura slava è valida ma la portata storico-culturale delle lingue latine le sovrasta alla grande.....

Ho messo sul mio polveroso canale di Youtube un video simile a quello francese sulle lingue d'Italia e anche le varie microminoranze alloglotte.
La lingua è istriotA, ma altrimenti se non specifichi "lingua" è istriotO.
E' come quando si dice "lingua italianA", ma "parlo italianO"

Confermo che quello parlato nel primo video di Uslengh è veneto, o quantomeno ci assomiglia davvero molto (ma potrebbe essere istro-veneto?). Ho anche letto qualcosa in istrioto su wikipedia, e anche in quel caso ho trovato similitudini col veneto (ma minori).
Carino il secondo video, ma perché Timon e Pumba per il veneto? XD
Inoltre, piccola correzione: il Griko dovrebbe essere solo quello salentino, in Calabria c'è il Grecanico.

può essere un istrioto molto influenzato dal veneto, tuttavia, te lo dico da madrelingua centro-italiano, benché il veneto sia il dialetto settentrionale che capisco di più (forse insieme al ligure), l'istrioto del video mi risulta comunque più comprensibile rispetto ad un veneto puro, in ogni caso la sola presenza del verbo "gire" già dalle prime battute dell'intervista lo avvicina molto alle lingue italo-dalmate rispetto ad un dialetto gallo-italico...
mmh si carino, però mi sembra un pò approssimativo riguardo ai dialetti al di sotto della linea massa-senigallia, tra le varietà dei tre gruppi peninsulari certe volte ci sono differenze anche molto forti, magari meritava includere le principali parlate regionali (tipo napoletano o barese piuttosto che abruzzese, per il dialetto italiano meridionale)
(la registrazione (tape) del Toscano non si può sentire XD)

Yes that would've been a better Europe if our latin cousins of the Balkans survive.
Illyria could've been an amazing country, with Ragusa as their capitale.
Same for Makedonia (Aroumains), Pannonia, Rhaetia, Africa, Britannia & Morlachia, Romance world would've been very interesting ^^

The spread of Venetian is pretty much the same of before WWII, Istriot and Istroromanian languages have increased to the detriment of pre existent Slavic languages, Istriot to rhe north while Istroromanian in every direction but still mainly to the north

Hem, that's a good question, first, I gotta tell you that probably Italian footprint was stronger in emigration countries, such as Americas, than colonies, but still there was, for example the central market in Adis Abeba is still called "mercato" from Italian, in Asmara there is an important example of Italian futurist architecture, the only highway in Lybia was built by Italians.

mmm, I don't have many information about historical settlements in Albania, but nowadays Albania is one of the country with the higher percentage of Italian speakers in the world also due to migration flux and to economical reasons. Plus, in Italian settlement of "the world" we must also take into account venetian, and partly genoese, commercial empires from the middle ages, today, there is plenty of venetian architecture in east Adriatic sea, in Ionian sea and in Aegean sea
