The map will not have the best quality, but I still like it!
Apparently, Atlantis here would be a geologically active island-continent just like Iceland.

Yes, This was Atlantis. a continent alongside the continent of Europe.

The sank continent of Atlantis can seeΒ on the Google map Β by Everybody, Β don't understand why nobody recognize it Β and stupidly pointed/imagining other above-water places as "atlantis"~~

I like the idea of Atlantis arising like iceland. Might more gelogicial activity there be the indication of more seafloor spreading? The Atlantic might be wider and the Pacific narrower.
What effect would this continent have on history? The Canary Islands might be a good parallel, which opens the doors for all sorts of interesting colonists, from the mysterious pre-Guanches to the Phoneticians. The fact that there's this big landmass in the middle of the Atlantic will also make European-American ocean voyages way easier. We might get contact between the New and Old Worlds in Roman times.

Yeah, although I wonder whether the Phoneticians might beat them to it. Or the Greeks? Who in Europe and Africa had the best blue-water ships?
Now I'm thinking about an alternate history scenario with a chain of islands running down the mid-Atlantic trench, such that a Polynesian-type culture of super-sailors evolves. They might not tie Europe to North America (since the real world Polynesians didn't tie mainland Asia to Australia, although they visited both), but they might tie Europe to sub-Saharan Africa (vis China and India). That would be neat.

This looks shockingly similar to something I did over a year ago

Yep, I really liked that piece of work so I made this Atlantis.
The coasts of Atlantis were based off of a Sea Level map I found. If you have a look you'll see the coasts correspond to the Mid Atlantic Ridge, I hope that explains it for ya!

Same here. I was thrilled when that article came out about how the Mid Atlantic Ridge actually rose up above sea level about 10 million years ago due to fluctuations in the earths mantle. When I made my map of Atlantis over a year ago using a sea level map I tried to account for the change in sea level caused by the rise of the mid atlantic ridge and the seabed around it, but I think I overdid it. Maybe one day Ill make a detailed map of Atlantis but right now other alternate history matters are more important to me.

I decide that I'd just cop out of rising the sea level by expanding the ice sheets to compensate, myself.
I hope to get some work done on this soon...

To make maps? I use the ol' 2003 version of MS Paint. I should really get onto a newer version TBH...
