Potea had very recently been appointed King of the Pride Lands by his grandfather, who passed on naturally shortly afterwards. However Potea's reign was not to last, as the neighboring hyena clan surprised them. Potea usually was friendly to all, and willing to make deals yet as they had been caught off guard completely he gave in to the Hyena's demands in an attempt to protect his only son. He had hoped to bid his time. Unfortunately, Dhalimu had predicted such as thing as she led him away one day and killed him. Or so she had thought. Dhalimu failed to thoroughly check that the job had indeed been done, though wounded gravely Potea managed to pull himself to the neighboring Grass Walls Pride where he was cared for. Once well enough, and on hearing of his son still alive and well and having escaped The Tyrant Queen, he decided to do something to help his son. Father and Son soon had a reunion, and each started their own little army to raise to take on Dhalimu. For now, the Lion duo bide their time.
