this is so stunningly beautiful that i used it as inspiration for a tattoo. i always felt that if mermaids existed, they wouldn't have split salmon tails - they'd have something more eel-like, something that goes with our anatomy a little better. anyway, i'd be happy to post a picture of it. the sculpture is infinitely better than the tattoo, but the tattoo is pretty badass because of the awesomeness of the sculpture. kudos to you for my rad tattoo.

Just like the person who wrote the DailyDeviation description, I really like the mermaid's curved posture; it really does look like you've frozen her in mid-motion. I also like her face--with the light shining on it, it looks as though she is mesmerized by a vision--and the overall bronze-like coloring, which gives the statue the look of a beautifully preserved artifact.
