The colouring is marvelous! I feel a very strong sense of nostalgia from this piece and I just .. I can't get over the brush techniques, I'd love to try it out traditionally one day.

Such emotions can be conveyed far better with pictures than with words sometimes, can't they? I have to say this is one heartbreaking example of that. Just... Wow. I wish I were better with words. I wish I had more to give you than words! But then, if your breathtaking art needs no words, perhaps neither do my feelings, and perhaps you will somehow be able to grasp them beyond the page and know what they mean, as you have conveyed so much to us with no words at all...

Hm. So as a kid he lost a balloon, what at the time seemed important. But now, older, this "kid" understands what's really important, which is his apparent mentor.
As for why he's flying him around in the plane, I would think the old man asked to go for a final flight; his dying wish. And in his beloved sky, he passes on.
My thoughts for the coin. Love the what the comic expresses and the story it tells in such a seemingly short time.

The comic is so great I can't describe it. it's awesome. I just have to say, the borders are a bit anticlimactic. I'm not sure how to make it better, due to my lack of experience with comic, but if white was replaced with black, it would better perhaps?
