Description I've had this photo sitting in a folder for a couple of weeks now, unsure whether or not I should upload it to my gallery.

Then something occurred to me that kicked me into action and so I did...

There's a few things I love about this photo and I hope my viewers like it.

I'm knocked sideways till Saturday by that comment mate, thank you very very much. This is my favourite beach that's near to where I live and I come here a lot to practice my photography skillz It's also one of the wildest beaches in the area too - the rocks here really churn the water up - so your comment is ironic in a pleasing way. I just happened to listen some chillout kind of music when I opened that photo and all I could do is just watch those waves Oh yeah and water can be a tricky bitch when there's some streams and rocks involved ;D

LOL, veeeery true! On this beach you think the water won't even reach the far side of the rocks, then suddenly it bursts through and you've got wet ankles. Time to grab the camera and retreat when that happens!

I was thinking more along the lines of a little dinghy that I could sail up the river and enjoy the peace, quiet and photo opportunities that you don't always get on land

If you want to spice up that peaceful life in your boat, buy stilts and use them in the boat and then take some photos

The place is called Whitsand Bay [link] on the south coast of Cornwall in the UK. Sharrow Point is a small headland that juts out of the cliff. This is where most of my beach shots are done because in my opinion it's the stretch on the south coast. The rocks cause mayhem and you can get some really beautiful wave action down here

Well, I like how the shades of colour change on either side of the breakers, I like how the fast shutter speed captures the waves as sheets overlapping one another, and I like how the light burning through the clouds doesn't overwhelm the rest of the sky.

But what I like most about this photo is that I sent a handful of shots to one of the best friends I'll ever know, and this was one that she picked out for me.

Wonderful light, colors and movement. I love the way you captured a crisp water and sharp rock and the sky looks softly painted in wonderful gradients as if it were a long exposure. This golden colors are truly beautiful altogether and I understand why you're so appreciative of where you live.
