The Warlord class battle armor, also known as the Warlord mini mech, is the Administrations elite/heavy infantry unit. Its original idea was to be an exoskeleton for elite administration human infantry. Now you would think that building an exosuit would be easy given the Administrations skill with robotics. But robots do not need to support organic components, plus the internal space that would house the important systems are now taken up by pink squishy meat. Factor in the need for food, water, and oxygen, it just snowballed from there.

The result of the program is best described as a mini-mech. Not small enough to be called a suit, yet barely large enough to house its single pilot. The cockpit is cramped leaving the pilot barely enough room to operate the controls. Despite this the cockpit has full life support and fairly decent armor. The windshield is a weakspot but its is made up of bulletproof material to allow some level of resistance. Its main method of movement is its two tank tread feet, it is capable of simply walking, but unless confronted by exceptionally tough terrain, the treads are preferred by most pilots. Its weapons are mounted on its shoulders in two pods. The left shoulder houses twin machine guns, while the right shoulder houses two unguided AT rocket launchers. It features two manipulator arms. For what purpose you may ask? Never underestimate the ability to grasp and pick things up. They also help get the Warlord upright if it should happen to fall over.

The men who pilot these armored suits are the officer class of the Administration military. Ambitious individuals must start out as local Skull Cap troops just like everyone else. From there they may become low level officers of local forces. For those showing promise, they are assigned to become Warlord pilots. They do not start out with troops to command however, these pilots must prove themselves in battle. They are either used as break though units or as support for larger forces. If the pilot survives their final trial is to lead a squad of machines into battle to prove their skills in tactical leadership. Only if they survive that do thy join the upper levels of command. Now one may ask why the notoriously lazy Administration has such a harsh selection? Well mostly its a holdover from the early days when the Administration was competent. As such the 'politically connected' can usually bribe their way past the selection, or get an easy assignment. Although some competent troopers succeed in the process, so there are some worthy candidates that rise though the ranks.

Most troopers, in all the factions, consider warlord pilots hotheads. All bark and no bite as the saying goes. Although if the individual is a true leader and warrior they often do earn the respect of their fellow soldiers.
