In the aftermath of Subject-1954's attack on Tokyo, and several surrounding prefectures before returning to sea, many photographs were recovered from the sight of the Kaiju's rampage, presumably from either civilians trying to flee the carnage, Foundation members attempting to gather important data, or military personnel gathering evidence of Godzilla's existence; whatever theory the recipient chooses to believe, what is important to note is that these photos all tell the same story but from different perspectives. This one, however, is one of the most disturbing, and the harsh reality of such a devastating attack by Subject-1954. In the photo, the most glaring thing is Subject-1954 passing by a building with what looks like a 1950s-style birdcage in the foreground, though, that might be hard to see at first. In the birdcage were six Ijima's leaf warblers, presumably left behind by the owners who tried to escape Godzilla's attack, although recovery teams discovered the bodies of a family consisting of a man, woman, and two children, all of whom were found deceased, likely due to the collapse of their house. When recovery teams seized the birds and quarantined them in Foundation containment due to being in the epicenter of Subject-1954's lethal radioactive output, at first, the birds seemed unfazed by the radiation poisoning in their bodies until one suddenly began mutating, growing multiple legs, eyes, and swelling to the point that it could no longer sustain flight. The others had weaker reproductive rates and contracted ARS or Acute Radiation Syndrome, all succumbing after only 3 days. During the aftermath of Subject-1954's attack on the Ginza ward of Tokyo, Foundation recovery and reconnaissance crews discovered that many of the animals that were unfortunately left behind by their owners had all died of ARS, though some died from many other factors (i.e. burning, smoke inhalation, crushing due to falling debris, impalement, vaporization, etc). Among the crew was Anomalous Fallout Specialist Koji Serizawa, who sifted through the wreckage of homes near the epicenter of Godzilla's rampage the night before where he discovered the bodies of the family owning the birds in that cage.

This is the photo Foundation crews found.
