"In other news, thousands gathered in Tokyo Bay last night to honor the victims of the infamous 'Red Christmas' incident that claimed 500 lives when the monster known as Godzilla, presumably thought to have been killed in a covert joint Japanese-American military operation, ambushed a fleet of naval ships near Sagami Bay evacuating the survivors of the Kaiju's rampage through the Ginza ward in Tokyo on December 1st to Shizuoka, sinking every vessel before disappearing into the depths, away from radar detection. This is part of a wave of memorials, protests, and riots demanding that the secretive monster-hunting coalition known as the Nautilus Foundation be held accountable for the Kaiju's rampage, along with the Japanese and American government.

The recent spike in mass die-offs in the world's oceans and catastrophic radiation levels and carbon emissions in the atmosphere left behind by Godzilla has resulted in many Japanese prefectures to be left completely uninhabitable and detrimental to human life, with 1,500 deaths estimated from lethal radiation poisoning before the JSDF and the Nautilus Foundation's announcement to clean affected areas of the Kaiju's attack. With shocking confirmation that the monster had survived such a powerful, albeit unknown weapon, many citizens have begun evacuating the country in the hundreds, leaving roads jammed for miles, flights delayed or canceled due to staff shortages, and maritime evacuation being delayed indefinitely due to the onslaught of Godzilla-related attacks at sea. At the same time, the Nautilus Foundation has received funding from various governments to begin launching extensive countermeasures for Godzilla, studying the monster's territorial routes, radiation emissions, and the likelihood of when the Kaiju could make landfall and where."
