I wanted to capture Raeges utter uncertainty about how to react. Instead she just looks waaay to much like the Joanquest girl.
anyways...if you DO like the Raege crew stuff, read the stories. They's gewd.
I could be accused of only liking these stories because they feature characters I've created (or in Raeges case, heavily developed from a vague concept) but believe me, I've seen other Raege fanfiction, and was able to see that they was rubbish.
So just trust me on this.

I have since scrapped that junk and uploaded the previously unknown Rogue Traders fanfic instead. And that is a biscuit, the Imperial Law states that if a soldier is killed fighting for the Imperium compensation must be given to the next of kin - this is commonly a biscuit with the inscription: "Thats the way the cookie crumbles. Probobly."

I think she looks exactly like she should, she's not used to expressing her emotions so she just looks confused. I imagined her having an expression like this one when I read the story about five minutes ago.
One question that I'm sure everyone has been curious about upon seeing the character, but I'm especially curious about after seeing this picture. Where did she get the scar? I'd assumed it was from some bygone battle but, how can that be if she had it as a cadet? Was it like a childhood injury that has intense bearing on her character? Or did you just add the scar into her design to make her look cool and never really attached a back story to it?

When Raege was maybe 5 or 6 her father caught her playing house with a neighborhood boy. Laughing, smiling,playing the part of a mother. Furious, he pulled her indoors and dragged a deep cut into her face with his psykana blade.
This way, whenever she looked in the mirror she would be reminded of what she should not do. He also thought it would make her look tougher. Less "pretty"
Her fathers constant mental pounding has made her forget this. She has no idea why she has the scar or what it means, but it's effect remains.
