I've actually prepared to give ye my own little gospel on the deity of Ice and snow, thus do I ask you to read the following with the voice of Ian Mckellen.

Through the arrogance of a God bitter for loss of heart and compassion for the deities seated within the celestial court did Polaris, Lord of Winter, Ice and Snow, come to forge a mysterious legend from his palace beneath the earth, guarded by the Frost Wyrm, Gilgadramon.
From Blackest Ice and Whitest Snow did he breath a hollow form of life that shaped and bended itself into sentience, and though imperfect to the creations of his rivals, so did Polaris learn the secret of life, and release his greatest weapon upon the world of the immortals.
The winter beasts stepped upon earth and melted water upon it before air howled through them like the wail of something barely borne upon the lands of creation, when the birth of The Great Sun Dodysiusasamus gave the flame of warm light to final transform the abominable creatures into the children of Spring, forever left to be known as Humans, and never more to be bound to serve the Lord of Winter.
For his violation of the Grand Covenant, Polaris was sealed within his own element and damned to live within purgatorial exile, never to use the secret powers he had discovered through his experimentations, it is said that Deimos, the demi god of battle did shatter the bones of sorcerous god's hands and arms to prevent the deity from wielding his halberd of frost, before finally chaining the lord of ice with crystals borne of Limbo's very heart."
