Just finished this one today. This is the 1/48 Tamiya F-16CJ with decals from Two Bobs #48-247, 50 Years of YGBSM. This aircraft from the 20th Fighter Wing commemorates 50 years of the Air Force SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense) squadrons. SEAD aircraft purposely go after surface to air missile sites, hence the big white HARM missiles they are armed with. YGBSM is the acronym for "You gotta be shi*ing Me!," reportedly said by pilots 50 plus years ago when told that they would be engaging North Vietnamnese SAM sites. First flown by modified F-100 Thuds, then F-105F & G two seat models, then the F-4G Phantom (flown during Desert Storm) and of course the F-16CJ today. These are among the most dangerous missions flown by Air Force pilots.
