I just adore this. I've always wanted to try painting on wood and this is very inspiring. Do you sell prints or originals or anything?

Love it. Now I have to go to yard sales and look for old worn chopping boards... It is such a mega cool idea. The colors in the kimono are wonderful and the bird on the branch gives the piece a lot of character.

the Idea is to find a piece of wood with personality, so when you develop your project and composition you have to thing of the piece of wood and look at the painting area to make sure you don t cover damaged area.... well hard to explain. But some damaged can be very interesting for the painting. I feel that painting on mature wood is like a relationship with a mature person who have a strong personality.

normal acrylic
The great point of acrylic is that you can work on transparency or opacity so you can get a good wood mix in your color.
also some type of wood reflect light so in a good lighting setting your piece get a seriously strong impact.

Many time acrylic get s bad comments over oil.
But Acrylic have it s strong point, for example
it can be painted on almost any kind of surface
and have a longer life spent but it s colors might be
a bit less saturated.
