My husband and I always give at least 700 dollars a year to chairities we believe in. I'm a World wildlife found. My husband is in the Air Force so he donaits to Airman, and Woman who can't aford the things they need. this year that might go up again. just to fill in for people who can't find it in their hearts or wallets to give. I know some months we live on Ramen so we can help others. great Drviant art gallery!

...okay... i have to now... i have very little pocket money but i'm going to get a job soon... i'm sure i can spare something... i'm not buying anything anyways
in america this might be a controversial statement... but i think that the tsunami was a worse disaster than the world trade center bombing... the bombing was an intentional attack, and therefore is seriously bad in that respect... but entire islands were completely purged of all life... it's scary to think about...
thanks for making me think of things other than my own problems btw... probably can find comfort in knowing i helped, even in such a small way... and in the fact that there are people willing to help in the relief of such a horrible disaster as this...

wow this is truely a great deviation. as for donating, my school had a kind of fund raiser for the tsunami victims. people donated and we had bake sales and such. but i just donated and bought some baked goods. um i think total i gave about 21 dollars. we gave the money to the american red cross. i was glad to help. it was for a good cause. and this deviation is great.

In reflection to this. I really think what u are saying is true to full extent. Just giving in general not to charity alone but to the poor aswell. Just a small amount can make someone a whole lot more happier.
While we walk around with our pockets filled, we sometimes think that finding 5 dollars on the street is no big deal, but to a child in africa dying of starvation or to a pan handler on the street or in the subway station, it's like finding a bar of gold, in their eyes.
I really do think society these days has too much to keep and not enough to give.

Wow this is amazing.. the text and the picture. My dad donated 100$ to the tsunami relief fund and our school (with the help of the government and another school) raised over $9,000!

Can't remember what the charity was actually called, but I did donate to the tsunami fund at my high school. 38 dollars and 95 cents - all in change. Gives ya a good feeling when you know that by donating, you're giving help to someone that needs it.
^_^I admire you greatly for doing something like this, too.

There's no such thing as too much to help. Do you realize how many people there are there?

theres also such a thing as a fucking bullshit story and a very clever way of taking more money than needed then when asia finds out they dont actually need all that money they give it back to their respective countrys.... but will you see your money again ?
i dont think so.
so it turns out that tax, road tax, interest, all that stuff aint enough anymore.
your just a kid dude i dont blame you for wanting to help people, believe me i would go out there myself and help them personally get over their awful tragedy but throwing money at it and smiling thinking you've done a good thing isnt the way to go about it.
my sisters best friend was over on a island when the tsunami hit she was sitting on the beach drinking her coffee with friends...2 seconds later her chair was tobbeled by a wave her friends are missing and have been ever since, she got caught by somebody on a hotel balcony by her bra strap of all things and then her arm, which dislocated because of the force of the man grabbing her and the torrent of water.
she spent a week in hospital then travelled back, the other day her husband drove her to the car wash, not thinking anything of it, they went through the car wash.
the noise of the water and the way it was hitting the car caused her to take a panic attack she started screaming and hitting everything she could she broke a few fingers in each hand and gave her husband a black eye before her husband rushed the car out of the car wash.
these are terrible times for the people who were involved in this i agree but money is NOT the solution for everything.
you'll hopefully grow to learn that.
cheers buddy.

*grimaces at being called "kid"* ...Peh. Age is all that matters these days. I'm young so therefore I'm stupid. Money does nothing. Helping doesn't matter. We should all just die. That's all I got from that.

lol nobody mate. i'm just saying people throw far too much money at stuff and expect it to go away, your depressed you spend £1000's of quid on somebody to sit there and say, and how does that make you feel...
you wanna get married ...you pay £5000 for the marriage then £10000 for the divorce.

aw that is a vry nice picture. You had a wonderful idea to encourage ppl like that threw your art. Unicef rlly is an awesome place to donate too, my school has a program with them and all the occasions (like holidays or things like the tsunami) we get a chance to donate something. Everybody in my school is able to spare some money and so we managed to raise alot for them, and it wasn't just checks from our parents but our own pocket money. i was able to give $20 and it rlly relieves you when you know that you tried to help their situations b/c it is horrible what happened to them. hopefully soon the children and the rest of the victims will be happy once again. it's nice to c ur effort to make a difference tho nillia, its vry thoughtful of you. ^^

Powerful... And very, very touching. I haven't donated money, as I am spending most of what comes in on rent, diapers and formula for my little one, but I have collected 3 very large, very full bags of toys and games, which I will be donating to the Fischer House, the Salvation Army, and the Purple Heart respectively.
It's not tsunami related, but even in the midst of such tragic devastation, we have to remember that there are children elsewhere as well that need help, too.
God bless those who donate to aid any child, anywhere, and God bless Nillia.

i donated £10 pound of my wages from next, in the uk... that's nearly 5 dollars. i don't earn a great deal, but i was extremely moved... the people of the uk made about £200million pounds, or roughly 380million dollars for the tsunami... there are only 60millon people in the uk, so as a nation, we did good.
anyway, nice to see you help nillia.
i'm sure the people of banda achea sri lanka and phuket would be greatful.
and while i'm here i'll metion the unknown dead of bhurma, who extremist government lied to cover up the true devestation, and refused all aid. think of those families the most, because they will never know your kindness.

Aww... *sniffles and wipes away a tear* Beautiful, nillia... This is a great idea!
I'm a poor college student as well, but I try to spare money for charities when I can... We've had a LOT of Tsunami Relief Events on campus at my university. I'm glad to see so many people getting involved. I only wish it didn't take such a horrific tragedy to shock people into helping each other like this...

Actually...I got the idea a couple weeks ago, but all the sketches were coming out crappy, and so I decided to wait and see if something'd come to me.
Thanks for the advertisement! *hug* The more the thought spreads, the better.

Her face looks better now, as I already told you. I really like the scraggly look of her hair too...it's an effective picture.
Now me, I dunno if I'll donate. I'm a poor college student as it is, but you know that I already doneate on occasion. I should though. >.>
This was really nice of you. I admire you for doing it...it's not something I'd have ever thought of.
