Description Born deformed, with boar-like fangs, twisted physique and toes merged together like elephant feet, Hoggard was abandoned in the wasteland of Alakrir V and rescued by a hidden mutant's tribe. Retarded and violent, with serious health issues, the monster boy grown to become very adept of Papa Nurgle and his blessings, often cast to alleviate his horrible pains.

When the Death Guard landed on Alakrir V, summoned by the local mutant cultists, to recruit sick children for their ranks, Hoggard impressed them with his monstrous size and precarious health. In the process to become an Astartes, it was discovered that Hoggard had a brain just half the size of a normal person, just one lung and two hearts, three livers and a tumor-like fetus of a siamese twin living inside his chest. His survival was really a blessing of the Grandfather, and, after becoming an Astartes and having most of his misshapen organs repaired, he became almost a unholy saint for the Guard.

Because of his reckless ferocity and simple mind, Hoggard received the nickname of "the Boar", and even a special helmet with boar-like fangs was crafted for him.

So, one more heretic done. I added a Warhammer Fantasy helmet and shield and used a new cracked-effect paint in his base. What do you think? Is my painting skill improving? Did you liked this Nurgloid reckless charge?

Nice, but that looks WAY too clean to be Nurglish.

He is still a Chaos Marine with the Mark of Nurgle... When he gets dirty and mutated enough, he would probably be upgraded to Plague Marine XD

Is that a bayonet, or a sword-mounted bolter?

Well, a inverse bayonet, with the blade over the barrel instead of under it... He probably don't use the iron sights to aim, so the blade don't get in his way....

The truth is that the blade was a bit too big to fit under the barrel.... but there was enough space over it, so.... XD

Bad-ass model, man. I love how you did his helmet and the shield. Great work, keep it up!

Have your painting skills improved? It is hard to tell.

Let me put it like this: Because you do not have acess to better paints, it is like your trying to sculpt a delicate figurine with a sledgehammer.

Hummmmm... well... hardship makes us more skilled...

But when I compare this guys with that Ultramarines I uploaded a while ago, I see a huge difference... Maybe you can buy that kit with a thousand GW paints and send to me as birthday gift...

I am afraid that was a limited product.

As funny as it sounds, I do believe that would cost basically the same. I do not think there was an actual dicount. I don't remember.
