Description
I started playing Final Fantasy VII for the first time. (15 years late...
) The graphics may have aged poorly, but the game as a whole I am finding really fun- haven't gotten bored once in the 20 odd hours I've been playing! I'm at the end of disc one and have to figure out how to beat the boss, it manages to kill me in one blow. :cCloud's a character that I'm finding more interesting than I thought I would. I actually drew him once before because I liked his design, but this is the first time drawing him while actually knowing anything about the character. Haha.

Cloud's design is really great, I can see why so many enjoy drawing him. I tried playing the game while I was at my friend's house and really enjoyed it. Wish I could finish it! As for the drawing, the thing I like most about your art is the way you capture the "essence" of the character. I feel like your art has got a lot of personality. I like how the colours remind me of the game, and that he looks like he's in deep thought.

One of the greatest games of all times! I'm so freakin' obsessed with it. xD; But I love all the Final Fantasies equally for different reasons.

I'm really enjoying it so far! I've played 13 and 13-2 as well and I do think they have their good qualities... I'm quite fond of some of the characters (like Hope!) and I found 13-2 fixed most of the problems that I had with 13, so it was pretty good.

Yes yes! I played so many Final Fantasy games I can't remember which I started playing for the first time. I remember the stories to all the ones I got though. Lmao.
At the beginning of FFXIII I never was keen on Hope, then he grew on me. xD I felt he was whiny, but later on he gets braver, etc. So I ended up liking him eventually anyways, I think Vanille evened him out and helped a lot. 
I really get attached to the characters though. I got so attached to Aerith when I found out what happens to her close to the end of Disc 1 I stopped playing for like a year before I picked it up again. LOL! Though Final Fantasy VII was the game that changed my views and opinions on life and expanded how I see things a lot more. The ones I have (including emulator) is:

Hope is a bit of a whiner most the game, but I couldn't help feeling badly for him because of his mom ;_; poor little guy haha. I like his relationship with Lightning. That's one thing I'm sad about 13-2, they didn't have any parts with Hope and Lightning together. Actually, I thought Hope's character was pretty boring in 13-2, disappointingly. :C Maybe because of a lack of character development in the game. I'm not planning on getting 13-3 but if there actually is further character development of the older characters I might have to play it... x)
Fang was originally going to be male? All I can imagine is.. Noel for some reason hahah. Is there any official art for male Fang? Now I'm interested to see what he would've looked like.

Quite the collection you have! I have XIII, XIII-2, VII, IX (Haven't played it yet but I will as soon as I'm done VII), and no one ever counts the Nintendo exclusives, but I have FF Crystal Bearers as well which is actually quite fun >_< I'd love to play X as well- I hear they're coming out with an HD remaster of it soon!
I've admired the Final Fantasy series from the sidelines for quite some time but never had a chance to play one from the main series until a little over a year ago, so I'm pretty new! (Unless you count Crystal Bearers, which I played a few years ago.)

Yeah Hope was, but thank god he gets tougher eventually. xD; I felt bad his mom died too. >: At least Vanille is all cheerful so I think it might've helped Hope besides having Lightning with him. ;3 I don't like Hope x Lightning as a pairing I can only see them has a brother and sister relationship. Haha. Well don't forget Hope wasn't the main character of 13-2 though. I liked Hope in 13-2 despite not as big of a role like in 13. They could've just wanted to focus on Lightning, Serah and Noel the most since Serah and Noel are the main characters and all and Lightning's role was important to the story whereas I felt Hope wasn't as important. xD Snow didn't change at all either in character.. still a hot headed guy. xD; I'm glad Vanille and Fang made an appearance. I cried when I saw them. >: I stille need to get the secret ending.... two more fragments... Beat every monster for the beastery and the slot machine one.... >:
Lightning Returns seems interesting though; saving the world in 13 days and depending on your choices you can make time go backwards or forwards. I like different though... I never really minded the change in game play.
Sadly, I don't know if there's any official art of a male version of Fang. I never looked to see. Lmao. I read it on Final Fantasy Wikia though. The before Lightning her hair was a little more like a salmon colour then it is officially now. But those are the only two changes I remember. Lmao.
I built Aerith up really well... then I found out she dies and there's absolutely no way of saving her either. >: I was so dumbstruck. What disc are you on? In one of the discs you have to return to the Midgar Slums or whatever again.. go into Aerith's Church. (Not going to tell you who or what is in there though. Eheheheh.)
Ah, yes indeed... my work for collecting Main Final Fantasy Storyline Games is never done. Whether the story might be bad.. I'll still end up loving it. Lmao. Of course I have dislikes and likes and preferences to games, but I still end up falling in love with them anyways. xD I haven't gotten uber far in FFIX yet, but the story is love.

FF Crystal Bearers.. isn't that part of the Crystal Chronicles? Because I have... Final Fantasy Echos Of Time. Yeah, I think the story(ies) is/are really touching. The movie FFVII:AC which is two years after the events of FFVII game was good too. They wanted the main theme to be about "Life".

Yeah, at least Vanille's cheerful, even though she's a TRAITOR dun dun dunnn... actually I'm still not really sure what happened there with her and Dajh. I think I have to replay the game to understand what happened 
I'll be interested in it if it's different enough, I'm more worried it's too similar to the other two. 
I haven't played in a couple days, I'm still on the last boss of Disc 1. I got stuck because it manages to knock out my entire team at their full health with its aqua attack, but I just remembered I have a Water Ring I can equip so I'm going to try that. And hmm, interesting to see who will be waiting at the church... [:
If I end up liking IX as much as or more than I'm liking VII, I may end up trying to collect all the games, myself x) I hear VI is very good... and there's such a mixed reaction about VIII that it makes me want to play it even just to find out why! I've wanted to try XII for awhile, too. Nah, it's not weird to prefer the original version! I think unless there's something about the newer technology that seems like it was practically made for a remake of a particular game, it's a bit redundant to remake it. Yup, Crystal Bearers is in part of the Crystal Chronicles. If I get around to it I'd like to play the others in that series. I plan to watch Advent Children after I finish VII!

I like Hope and Vanille as a pairing. I think she suits Hope though cause of their personalities. The sunny cheerful girl who deep down worries and the boy who's mother dies, and is whiny but eventually finds his bravery when he's along side everyone. xD; Well.. kind of like that. Haha.
I don't think personally she was a traitor though. You might be thinking about Ragnarok? Fang and Vanille were granted power of Ragnarok and given the Focus to destroy Cocoon. But Vanille got tortured, so Fang volunteered instead to protect Vanille, then basically Fang went all ape shit because of Ragnarok, but it stopped and failed and she turned human again. Don't forget everything that happened Vanille always felt guilty and sad about, she cried quite a few times from it too.

That was a little bit I found about it's game play. The article is too long for everything, but that's just a tiny part of it. I watched a bit of a walkthrough for Cerberus and I was like "eh.."

FFIX is really good though you can't really compare games because every story is different. But that's how I feel. FFVIII is a VERY GOOD game. I don't listen to reviews online or listen to other people because it's their opinion, not your opinion on it. Me, myself, the story is good, the music is wonderful, etc. I have never been let down my a single FF game yet.
A lot of the generation now I find is "Graphics, graphics, graphics" and seriously that's a little annoying for me. "Remake FFVII" is all I ever seem to read anymore. I think graphics aren't really that important, that shouldn't be why it grabs a person's interest. Story and music honestly are way more important. I'm just uber passionate beyond belief when it comes to the games, seriously. Way too passionate then what my fellow friends and other people realize. xD; The entire FFVII Original Soundtrack is orchestrated. They even have concerts/symphonies specifically for the FFVII called "Distant Worlds". All the music is orchestrated and it's a huge symphony at that.
It was on the first game I actually played and grew up with. -head desks- I'm just really hardcore with FF... unbelievably hard core. Personally I don't want it. Besides there's already a FFVII PC version up and I'm sure the graphics are updated anyways. I'd laugh if that was the "remake". So people who don't have it can just get it for the PC. Lmao.
Why the hell would they need another Wind Waker? They already ruined OoT. The Water Dungeon is all coloured coated for god sakes to make it EASIER. Hearing that disappointed me. Making a dungeon easier... Pfft. Leave.It.Alone. And FFX's graphics original are fine. >>; They aren't even bad. Lmao.

Yeah, I think they make a pretty good match, too. Speaking of which, for about half of XIII-2 I was convinced that Alyssa was actually Vanille in disguise. THEY LOOK THE SAME. And that's true, Vanille was just following her focus.

I hear ya, sometimes I just don't want to hear anything more about graphics (in terms of polygon count, etc. I still think the visual style of a game is important, but that doesn't mean it has to look realistic). In any case, it's the gameplay, story and music that keep me playing.
Do they have studio recorded versions of all the VII orchestrated songs, or is it just live they play them? I've found a couple orchestrated versions online but not the full OST yet. :<
Haha, how funny would that be if they announced a "remake" and then just upgraded the graphics OoT-style and put it on PC? I think they're essentially keeping FFX's graphics the same, just basically doing whatever they do when they make those "HD collections" which no one can see a difference in from the original.
They colour coated the Water temple? Wow. Hahah. I've mostly heard good things about the 3DS version, but I don't really feel the need to get a second copy of OoT. Nice that new players can be introduced to it, though.

Well it took FF12 five years to come out though and hey it's out! I'm wavering if it'll ever come out. I read from time to time "it's been cancelled" then I'll see otherwise. So I just say screw it. Lmao. Even if it does happen, I can understand being disappointed, but for people to get all temper tantrum about it (which I've seen online. Haha. It's funny.) it's like "dudes grow up, ain't the end of the world." I don't know if I'd like Dirge Of Cerberus though.
I'm not too picky on game play. I can adapt quite well as long as I get a chance to get use to it. I'm pretty flexible with game play though that never makes me dislike a game. xD Sure some of it can be frustrating, but somethings just need to have the chance to get use to it. So I guess music, and story are my most important, then graphics then game play. xD But I know where you're coming from.
Final Fantasy VII does have their own actual Original Soundtrack (OST) that contains all the original songs from the game and onto a four disc soundtrack. I have it on my computer and Ipod. Sorry.. I should've said instead of "Distant Worlds" that the orchestra does tours and holds concerts. Distant Worlds is one of the titles that they called one of their tours. Sorry! I'm not good with explaining half the time! xD I hope I answered it right... 
Why wouldn't that surprise me in the least? Lmao. But Wind Waker would be hard to play on the PC though because of the sailing the sail boat while amongst other things... well may be they could do it in a way that it wouldn't be too difficult too. Haha. Never thought of that. I was never a Wind Waker fan though.. it was just one of those games that didn't turn my crank. Lmao. My best friend owns a 3DS and got OoT for it and that's how I found out. I dont like the 3D stuff... makes me eyes go buggy. Lmao. You can download OoT for the Wii and it has original looking graphics. xD; Better then playing it on 3DS and easier.Hell, I can't tell much difference between blu-ray and a regular DVD as is, let alone seeing the difference between HD FFX and normal regular FFX. Haha.
Yeah, I do have it. xD It was a good movie. If you have an open mind about gaming and not a strict RPGer and like other types of genre games RE is pretty good. I don't own RE4, but I watched the walk through for it so I can know more of the story better, and I liked it. xD; A lot of people complained about RE6, but the story was pretty good, sometimes the camera would be awkward because of angles and such, but I still enjoyed it. RE5 was also good. xD It's all about viruses and making humans become super humans. xD Also a lot of people complained that RE5 wasn't very zombie like, but the whole idea is progressing from a failure experiment to a successful experiment so it shows progression of almost succeeding, but still not fully there. Haha.

Yeah, no need to get temper tantrum-y about it. The only thing I'd say about it though is that Square Enix needs a bit more organization/time management skills, maybe.
Bad gameplay doesn't necessarily keep me from playing a game, actually sometimes I see it as a challenge HAHA. If it redeems itself in other ways I'll muddle through. It's hard to say what aspect of games in general I find the most important, because it varies from title to title. I mean, if I'm playing pong I'm not in it for the story. But if I'm playing an adventure game I expect a bit more.
I rarely use the 3D feature on the 3DS, I mostly reserve it for cutscenes. Can't stand looking at it for more than a couple minutes @_@ (Why 3D is so incredibly popular I don't know, because you're spendig more money for what is ultimately a more uncomfortable experience.)
Okay, I'll keep that in mind about RE. Actually, I'm not particularly big on zombies anyway so I might like RE5.

My jaw dropped when I first saw Hope... then I fangirl squeeled 'cause I was happy they gave each character a cameo appearance, etc. xD; People were all "How can Hope be like 24 years old, when it's 3 years after the first came!?" I was thinking "Well duh... obviously it's TIME TRAVEL to fix PARADOXES SO OF COURSE HOPE IS GOING TO BE 24 AND NOT 17!" Lmao.
Well they have other projects on the go too. So that could be eating their time up. Gaming companies seem to always have more then one project on the go. But I'd rather have a game that they took their time with then have a rushed came with a lot of glitches and bugs, though some put out updates for that and stuff. They're remaking FF14, doing Versus (that we know of), and probably a few others. Who knows.
Sometimes you got to just give game play a chance and adapt to it. I think a lot of people complain too much about that stuff. Dudes give it a chance and get use to it before bitching? Lmao. If it's RPG story is important and music. And not feeling like they "rushed" it to get it out.
Lmao. My friend I don't think she uses the 3D feature at all. But her DS Lite.. broke, so that's why she has the 3DS. The only reason why. xD; 3DS is kind of waste of money to me if you don't use the internet features, etc. too. The 3DS isn't very comfortable for me to hold either, and it's got a bit more weight to it then the Lite does and it feels like it'd slip outta my hands and doesn't have much of a grip feel to it. My Lite has like that papery, sandy like feel. The 3DS for me.. it's stick needs to be where the D-pad is and vise versa for the D-pad. xD; Also, needs to have a GBA game slot. >>;; The 3DS to me is just an updated DS... nothing special. Lmao.

I heard about Hope being in the sequel before I played it- it was one of the reasons I got the game hahah. I didn't know he'd be a NPC though, :c. Though I do like managing just 2 characters instead of 6, because in the first game I just focused on my main 3 and the others were left so long they maxed out their CP
Mhmm, they do look like they've got a lot of projects on the go (might even be making KH3?) and I'm hoping they wouldn't show trailers for a game and then have it drop off the face of the earth without a word.
A game that feels rushed is such a shame, especially when you can see a lot of potential in it.
I still use my DS Lite for DS games. I much prefer the feel of the buttons. Most consoles are just updated versions of the last one, and a way to make your old console outdated so you have to buy a new one to play new releases.

I found out in a trailer about Hope. Snow and Sazh was a surprise and I read about Vanille and Fang making a small appearance somewhere in it. XD; Lightning was obvious considering what the story was about. Lmao. I have a feeling Noel liked Serah too.. something just gives me that gut feeling about it. xD;
I heard about KH3, but I never found much information on it or about it. They do have due dates. That's not the word I want to say, but it'll do for now... I'll think of it eventually. But they can also post pone it for whatever reasons they need to. If they make a KH3, it'll probably be for the PS3, which of course I don't own. >:
Well when Skyrim came out there were a lot of bugs/glitches in it. My dad bought it so that's how i found out. He says it isn't as bad now because I guess of the updates they gave it. Hell in an RPG I play I can't sell or the junk part of my inventory or put it in storage. One one character I can, but my 2nd character... no dice. Cheeses me off. xD;
That's how I feel! Why should I have to buy one of their new consoles when mine still works perfectly fine. How old is the PS2 now and it still works perfectly? Lmao. Except it doesn't play DVDs anymore, but whatever. Lol.

Hmmm... If you're talking about Lightning's black armour looking outfit, I prefer her XIII and XIII-2 a lot more. But it's all about preference too. In Lightning Returns to me it just looks alright, it's not a bad design, but it's as good as the previous ones either. Just gives me an alright vibe. xD; I don't think she'd go with Noel.. she gives me a "lone wolf" feel for her character. Doesn't seem the type of character that would have a love interest to me. Lmao.
Well... KH was only ever made for the KH1 is PS1, CoM is GBA and PS2 depending on the version, 358/2 Days is DS, and the newest one Dream Drop Distance is 3DS. I just get this feeling it'll be PS3 only, but I hope just a little bit that they may make it also for 360. If they made it for both systems I see it as a win/win for SE because some KH fans don't have a PS3 and other don't have a 360. Besides I think their sales would be higher if they made it for both systems too.
Skyrim for leveling and stuff is faster then Oblivion is. Thank god. I think it's one of those games you really have to be in them mood to play it though. It's a long game. ~.~ Haha.
Don't forget... the new Wii U. Haha. But my friend wants it because there's a Zelda game coming out for it, and she'll only get that console UNTIL the game comes out. Haha. I think giving a console only 5 years or so then making a new one is too soon. It doesn't give me enough time to even enjoy it.

Someone commented on the Lightning Returns trailer saying that she looks like she's stepping off the train after a cosplay convention ROFL, I thought that was funny. She is pretty lone-wolfish, huh. I don't really ship her with anyone, I just like her character in itself.
Remember that Microsoft doesn't have a handheld though so the handheld games could only be on DS/PSP, and FF was exclusively for Playstation from VII-XII until the newer generation came out (and there hasn't been a KH since then) so it's poooossible. I think it would be a win/win for them, too. And if they came out with it for Wii U as well, it'd be good for the Wii U.

It's hard for me to give a solid opinion on the Wii U as I haven't used it, but I'll say when it first came out I was like, "...whut" Just seems really clunky/unnecessary. Maybe I'll like it if I give it a chance. The 3DS though I think is a good system. Feels solid. (Even if I don't use the 3D much.) Why do all the companies have to come out with consoles all at once? They should spread it out a bit more instead of rushing and forcing out consoles before they've come up with something new and innovative.

I think you can play it on both. If you're playing on the TV the Wii U screen acts as a menu/map/extra buttons etc, or you can apparently switch to just playing on the Wii U screen.
Just because it's kid-friendly, doesn't mean it's uninteresting! That's something I like about Nintendo actuallly, their games can be more relaxing because they usually have a fairly happy theme haha. Uh.. except for, like, Metroid which is kind of scary hahah (but awesome series). Microsoft and Sony already put out a lot of dark games so if anything we need more lighthearted ones x) I do really like the style of Twilight Princess though (one of my fave games) so I sure wouldn't mind another like it! It's this pad you can stand on and it has sensors so it knows where your weight is placed on the pad- you can use it for stuff like snowboarding games and different Wii Fit activities.

Ah.. it'd make sense to be able to play it on both. I like that they put games out for both age groups and all, but they haven't been doing much for the teens/young adults lately. I would just like more T-Rated games. Microsoft and Sony usually only look out for all Adults (M Rated), not so much younger. Though the only good Nintendo is doing is games. ~.~ I don't like any game they put out thus far. They remind me of what a pre-teens/little kids would play. Majority of my games are M Rated by Microsoft, only a few T Rated games. Some of the games I have I swear could probably rated T, but you know they need to have their butts covered because of those parents who will get all pissy about something in a game that their child plays and I mean about the littlest things. I find when games try to look really realistic it just ends up being awkward. The closer you get to it seeming "realistic", the more of a "something's off" feeling you get. Did you see the Tin Tin cg animated movie? The visuals felt super realistic- and I mean the "super" part because something felt wrong LOL (still a fun movie though).
What really stumps me is that all PS3s are compatible with PS1 games, but only the first models were compatible with PS2 games. 
I preferred Midna too. I liked Fi's personality but when she left at the end of the game I didn't feel devastated or anything. (The same cannot be said for Midna).

It's always dangerous too with games where you're trying to skip text and at the end of the text is some really important decision and you press the wrong thing haha :'D

Well... I'm sorry, I just looked it up in my Guide. It's an optional quest. Haha. You don't have to do it if you don't want too. There will be a person standing standing by the gate, and you speak to him to find this "item" to get back into Midgar Slums. Don't forget to talk to him a few times to reveal where it is you gotta look!
Actually the guide says shortly after the beginning of the second disc you can do it. So after you're done whatever it is you're doing currently in it, you could check Midgar to see if someone is standing beside the gate if you want to. I didn't do this until third disc though. Lmao.
If you get stuck with that, I can tell you how to do it fully. But until then I won't. xD Only told you who to talk to to "start" your "hunt". xD;

In order to get to Vincent's "bedroom" in the crypts you need to open the safe and get the key for it. For the safe you need to find the combinations, then once found enter it into the safe. There's a boss battle I think after you open it.
The optional quests are easy to miss so I thought I'd make you life easier as possible. xD;

I haven't even started the story for the one I have yet and I think I had it since... middle of 2012. This is a record for me. I usually start the stories and get sucked into beating the game, but this... it's like "Maybe I'll beat it after I die." I just don't like anything about it. I find it unappealing and can't understand why it's loved. ~.~; I got Black Ops, not the other ones. I Just find it ultimately... boring. I like shooters, but I really dislike Black Ops. ~.~

I played MW1. I found the storytelling compelling because it was presented in a way I hadn't seen before, and the controls are admittedly fantastic- there haven't been many games I've played where the controls felt so seamless. I've heard people complain about the newer games though and say they aren't as good. They do seem to be terribly overrated, everyone's always going on about "COD this" and "COD that" haha. I personally am not the biggest fan of shooters in general.

Yeah, I heard MW was pretty good with story telling, I never played it. All I hear is about Black Ops. Makes me think "it's not all that good..." I can't say for the others, but Black Ops I think is overrated. LOL! I don't have many shooters either. The ones I have are Ghost Recon Future Soldier, the RE5 and RE6 (although they're still listed as Survival Horror, it's still got third person shooting), Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, Black Ops (Don't like it) and that's roughly it.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 has a pretty good story. Actually Red Dead Redemption is a really good game. It's a western game. xD; It takes place in 1911, during the decline of the Old American West. xD Has a really good story.
Oh yeah, also when you go back to Midgar, remember the gattling gun on the ceiling of one of the buildings? Go there to get Tifa's best weapon in the game. xD And if you go to Nibelhein go to Tifa's house with her in your party and play the piano in her house to get her Level 4 Limit Break. xD; I dunno if you missed it or not so... xD I hope I didn't spoil anything for you. >:

I think it's good. xD I can't really call it a shooter.. it's one of those games I have a hard time giving a genre to so I just call it a western. xD; The main character use to be part of a gang/was an outlaw. The American Government I do believe took his wife and child and are holding them to get the protagonist to basically go after his former gang members, etc. There are other characters you meet too. You end up helping them as the main storyline. xD; I think it's interesting.

LOL! xD; Well I more or less starting disliking her when I watched Advent Children because Cloud is still like grieving or whatever over Aerith's death because he couldn't "save" or "protect" he actually states "But I let you die..." So he can't forgive himself for letting her die.
Tifa says some point in the movie "is it a memory or us?" and that really irritated me to no end. It feels like she doesn't give a damn about how Cloud feels about what happened to someone he cared about... a lot. It really irked me. Cloud is a person I feel like I can really really relate to besides Aerith. I just feel like she's pushing everything on him. Let the guy deal with things in his own way, if he wants to talk to you, he'll talk. If he doesn't, then he doesn't.
In the movie it takes place 2 years after the game. Yeah, I don't think you can get over some who was/is a close friend to you in a 2 year time frame. You can't just "move on" that easily. ~.~
