Description

It seems we stan Guillermo del Toro in this comic! He has provided several Wibsies!

SPOILERS FOR PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING - IT WAS BAD. Eurgh, damnit, I'll follow Boyega's boyish charms into a lot but there were too many BAD DECISIONS in that sequel. Except strapping rocketpacks to the Jaegers, eh. Ergo I am not updating the characters to their sequel looks, although poor Newt has gone through the characterization ringer. His brain-jar is empty though, it's a substitute comforter.

Jessica Jones has been reprimanded a zillion times for bringing hard liquor on campus, Jessica Jones don't give a damn.

Ja, apparently del Toro has an entirely different script written for it. Not sure what happened there, but 'executive meddling' is the most likely answer.

Funny, there's a novel by Wilbur Smith titled "River God", but I guess it has nothing to do with this.
Nice detail, with the flowers hidden in Sarah's book. Is it "The Labyrinth" book?

Oh god. The flowers in her pack. Who gave them? A well meaning Jareth? But it seems she's reacting to them. Or the Blinkins are attacking the club! I'm all a quiver! : D Also, hope you're having a happy Halloween.

I already really just can't handle how amazing this whole comic is; and then you have to go and bring beloved, weird, and wild Pacific Rim into it.  I love you and your amazingly fun and quirky storytelling skills forever and ever!

This can't be a coincidence.

If being mind-controlled by a kaiju brain is some sort of PTSD, i guess it will be a little difficult...

Yep, but the university's probably near the ocean so they can hang out in the area.  Elisa probably doesn't want to completely abandon the nice things about living among humans, like music, just the annoying bits.

I hope we get to see the K.I.S.S. and fridge wives clubs at some point, those concepts intrigues me.

In response to Newt, wouldn't at least half the campus have a backup against genocidal loons? like another genocidal loon that doesn't want to share the destruction?

Yeah I didn't watch the so-called 'sequel' once I heard what happened. Frankly it's non canon as far as I'm concerned. There's no Rahleigh. I mean the director didn't even consider what'd happen to Rahleigh since Mako was essentially the person who helped him love and trust again and if she's dead...? This is seeing as apparently the director doesn't respect her autonomy anyhow.
Hope they can restore Newt to his canon self too! Poor guy deserved better.

Also what's going on with Sarah and the flower??

Sarah, is it really wise to take a whiff of something you discovered in your shoe? Of course I can't remember, but wasn't there an old wives tale about tucking a sprig of something in your shoe for luck before a journey? I have way too many books to dig through to see how garbled my memory really is. Anyone else know of it?

Also, I am so intrigued by the Fridged Wives Club (is Padmé Amidala their President?)
