The way the fire swirls around her, rather than being thrown from her wings, gives Volcarona a sort of... transcendental appearance. Like you could really see why she lived in that altar in Relic Castle.

I'm so glad you went back and redid this! The fire looks 100000x better and more realistic. The actual shading of the pokemon is much better as well. The comparison between the two versions is like comparing a camera phone shot to a heavy duty actual photographers planned out, spent hours looking for the perfect angle/lighting picture.
....is it firey dance or fire dance? Not that they don't both get the point across, it's just...yeah XD

The actual pokemon attack is called fiery dance.

The only reason I went back to rework is it because someone on FA gave me great critique on it, and even linked me to a picture that had fire blowing similar to like how I tried to depict it. Now, I know how to do fire properly. |D When I stop being dead over there I'll go off and ask her to critique the picture I have listed as my "featured" submission. I've been wanting critique on that baby for a LONG time. The dragon in that pic just irks me. I dunno how to fix it though. :c
