Damn you, inspiration. Just damn you. Well, at least I managed to study a bit before you attacked me with those fiery claws of yours. You were lucky that it was evening.I know I promised I wouldn't draw. But I know I also said much. This is a speedpaint anyway so it didn't consume much time. After this one it'll be quite quiet since I need to follow my (still nonexistent) studying schedule.
Anyway, I would've drawn this sooner or later. This is because I. Absolutely. Love. Volcarona. He's damn cheap 135 base power in Sp. Atk., he isn't legendary and he looks so cool. On the top of that, his English name is music to my ears.
This must be the coolest design since Absol. I was so disappointed when I found out that Volcarona can be obtained AFTER obtaining National Dex in Pokemon Black and White. I would've wanted this fiery bug in my in-game team. .__. I can get one in my team afterall! 
You get an egg containing Volcarona's per-evolution after you get Surf. This was meant to be a sketch but it got out of hand. Typical.

I don't know why, but whenever I see a Volcarona, I think if it as an english gentleman with a bow tie, top hat, and monocle... but, then again, EVERYTHING looks awesome with a bow tie, top hat, and monocle, so it isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Oh, and nice art btw... I guess I got a bit off topic.

I got this bad boy before I beat Ghetsis on my White run. He took out that damn Hydreigon all by himself, that wonderful, beastly bug. You did a beautiful picture here, truly justice towards the king/queen of insect pokemon.

I got my Volcarona before Ghestis as well but it was my Hydreigon who sweeped Ghestis' Hydreigon.

I would so put this guy on my standard team, but I just had to choose Tepig at the start... And I can't have two FIRE-types on my team unless they both cover vastly different secondary types as well...

That pokemon was love at first sight. I promised myself after the 3rd generation to stop with playing the games, but as I saw THIS, I couldn't help it.
And leveling it to 59 isn't that much of a pain. Tabunne give a whole bunch of experience and are easy to kill.
Even if the lvl 70 one would have been obtainable before the first time pokemon league, I would have prefered it to lvl it myself. I don't like using pokemon that are so strong when you capture it. :/

Haha, Volcarona sure changed my mind about the newest generation as well. I though it would be better if they stopped making new games but... White is so awesome and there are so cool pokemon out there that I had to take my words back.
I leveled up my Larvesta in Victory road. Durant give a lot of exp. and they're so weak an Ember can finish them.
I don't like to use such pokemon either. I prefer leveling them up myself.

Volcarona is LEGEND. I caught mine in Relic Castle, although it nearly knocked out all of my team mates. If that net ball didn't catch it, I would of been screwed, haa.

Indeed! I've been trying to catch the Relic Castle Volcarona but that thing just won't get caught and I always get my team killed. I think I should concetrate on training for Cynthia before trying again.

Yep, it is. :> It takes a lot of grinding to evolve Larvesta but it's all worth it - my Volcarona's just amazing.
