This might be a stupid question, but how did you take the screenshot? I mean three desktops at once. Or is it gimped?
Great desktop btw. I am using your onion qtcurve config and its the first one i have stayed with as long as the oxygen style.

I took the shots separately then put them together with gimp, it's pretty simple
I'm really glad you like the onion style

I just answered in above comments, I repeat it; the icon theme is a mix of Faenza + MaK-LionTaste, but if you mean the dock icons; I found most of them here: [link]

You have some very nice themes, but can you please post some more info? For instance: "Widget style: custom QtCurve by me" is not very helpful. What exactly did you change?

I really love your themes, because they are beautiful. The default KDE 4 theme is absolutely hideous. Can you please release some of the files that you use to make your themes so people can get a workable and beautiful KDE 4 installation with as little work as possible?

In addition, can you also describe how you get the File, Edit, etc. up at the top? Please try to be as descriptive as possible, because people really would like to make their KDE 4 installations look like yours.

Hey Mike,
First of all thank you buddy and I really appreciate all your lovely compliments
If i wanna tell what exactly I changed about the qtcurve theme I have to write a book! Because there are many tiny details. What I can do is to release the config files which then you can use with or without modification and I'm gonna do that actually.
Regarding the global menu in the panel; that's called 'plasma-widget-menubar'. It's been developed by Canonical (as the KDE equivalent of Unity's Appmenu) and from Kubuntu 11.04 onwards you can find it in the default Kubuntu installation. As you know I use Arch and can't tell you how to install and get it to work if you use any other distro (except for Kubuntu of course which you need to do nothing) and you should search for yourself or ask in the dedicated forums of your distro.
By the way, Oxygen is a really sleek and professional looking theme IMO, I really like it, especially the windeco, the thing is I can't work with a same look for so long
If you needed anything else don't hesitate to ask.

Pyruzan, thank you. After re-reading my post, it came off a little rude, and I apologize for that. That was not my intention.

I really appreciate you posting the info above. Posting the QT Curve config would be very helpful, since there are just too many ways that it can be configured. (Perhaps include the screenshots and the config files as a zipped download for DeviantArt?)

Honestly, the KDE project should include your work as available themes, since they are very nice and professional looking.

highspeedsteel [2012-05-25 10:25:22 +0000 UTC]

lovely setup I don't preffer macish setups but this one looks nice. only one thing that I see wrong ın the ss is mirror effect in that dock u should kill it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pyruzan In reply to highspeedsteel [2012-05-25 12:01:28 +0000 UTC]

Thanks buddy
The desktop (the dock, the icons on it and the global/appmenu) may be Macish but the widget style and apps' appearance is nowhere near Mac
Regarding the mirror effect; I've tested both looks and prefer the mirrored look better, maybe you should first checkout both looks and then decide. Your opinion is venerable anyways

I didn't exactly get what you mean by 'If only Linux could like this when I got into it!'. Is it any late now?!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ScionicSpectre In reply to Pyruzan [2012-05-25 04:06:53 +0000 UTC]

Oh, no. It's just that I got into Ubuntu at 8.10, and GNOME was pretty ugly back then. A lot has changed, and KDE has become such a mature environment. I love it.
