Nice, US Army doesn't utilize snipers as well as they should. We're starting to change that, but very slowly.
Of course, we have Barrett rifles and you guys don't.

its called GGW (Gewehr groΓe Reichweite). I saw a prototyp lifefiring-action in "Lehnin". A longhaired guy from H&K shot a few rounds, and all his hair waved around by every shot. this weapon has an incredible recoil.
kinda creepy, cuz this guy can pop u out of ur tank...with one shot.

Eh, the recoil isn't THAT bad. Pretty much the same as a shotgun. Though, it can feel pretty bad if you're beside the muzzle break.

The L96A1 is not suppressed, it's the AWC model.

Nope, I got kinda busy running the range that day. Considering I had already fired pretty much all of the German weapons previously, it'd be polite of me to be a range officer instead. I've fired over AI rifles, and I'm not a precision guy myself, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

my guess was about 20lbs.. i wasnt to far off.. thats a pretty monster rifle.. 7.62 isnt that big of a round for a rifle that size.. must be a dream to shoot..

You want a heavy weapon for longer range shooting. Minimizes recoil.
