My browser is Mozilla Firefox Version 51.0b13 (yes i have a beta version it's not different from the regular version)
i do currently have the 0.8 version of the script, i did reinstalled it but that didn't do diddle.

here's the links to my gallery and favorites, i had to disable the script to those pages because it's causing my browser to freeze up and sometimes it crashes the browser.

Hmm. No problems on my end (Firefox 50) when i go to these pages. Granted, the small thumbs aren't as pretty as they used to be, but they are small. (Right?) I'm also confused why your browser would freeze or crash, since my style doesn't add anything to the page that wasn't already thereβ¦

the thumbs were smaller before the site updated and the freezing/crashing thing is the result of scrolling down the page then i get a pop-up message saying: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue."
Script: st.deviantart.net/roses/jsmin/β¦
so i usually stop the script but when i open the debugger that's when it crashes, and could be the fact i have a windows 7 operating system since November 2011.

I know that the thumbs were smaller before the update today, but i was referring to "my" smaller thumbs β the one that my style makes.
The script you're referring to is one of dA's own. I have no idea what it does, but it's likely related to loading in more thumbs and formatting them to fit nicely onto the page. Again, not related to my style, and nothing i can do to fix.

just my luck, i'll just have to find someone else with a small thumbnail script unless you're the only one.
look i'm stressed out i've been trying to find a way to fix it myself but DeviantART keeps messing it up and i'm not good at coding.

I'm afraid not. Those tags are not present anymore within the new thumbs, so there's nothing for my style to "unhide". And a userstyle (what deviantTHUMB is) can't create them or import them from some other place. You'd have to ask a coder to write a userscript (notice the subtle difference), but i can't help you there.

True. I'm curious, how does dA handle images/thumbs that are on top of a literature piece? Do they show up on the lit thumb? (I have to admit, i'm not well versed within the lit community, and i hardly browse lit deviations.)

It seems like these are all lit pieces with mature content. Perhaps that's why they're hiding a preview image? Weird.

Heya Rotane,
First and foremost thank you so much for all the work you do with these script styles; they've made deviantART bearable for me (and I'm sure countless others) to use for the last couple of years, especially since their leadership seems devoted to ignoring what their users are practically screaming at them.
So I just woke up this morning to find that the idiots in charge of dA decided to screw with the website layout again (surprise, surprise); and was wondering if you had any plans to update this script style so as to fix their incompetency and make dA usable and aesthetically pleasing again.
Thanks again for everything you've done that the people that run this site refuse to even attempt.

I just released an update that supports the new thumbs grid. It's not perfect, but it works well enough i think.

No plans yet, no. For one thing, since they are not yet active on my end for whatever reason (meaning personal Gallery and Favourites; only Browse and Search are new), but also that i kinda like the new look. And secondly, i have no idea how hard it's going to be to rewrite the new thumbs. I mean, if you look closely, you'll notice how each row is not the same height. That's because every thumb is scaled to fit into the row it sits in, to reduce the overal whitespace between the thumbs. It's a very clever and elegant system, i found, but i'm sure there's a lot of JavaScript involved, and that's (probably) not something i can change with just a userstyle. But we'll see.

Good enough for me. It still uses a lot of page bandwidth, but that is probably something neither of us have any control over.
It at least still gives the old look that I prefer, so I'm happy.
Thank you so much. C:

Yes, i can only scale the image down after they have been loaded. You'd have to get a script to do that, but Stylish alone can't change this.

Hm, script as in Greasemonkey script, or some other 3rd party software/addon? I just might try researching how to do it myself, assuming it's no harder than writing your own Stylish or Greasemonkey script that is.

Yeah, a Greasemonkey script is what i meant.

Not on my end. As always, be sure to update to the latest version (v0.7-1). If that doesn't work, uninstall and re-install the style. If that still doesn't work, please send me a screenshot of the page where it's off.
