My first attempt at lightning. I was only able to get 2 lightning shots, the 2nd one was not as cool.I would have got more, but I was on the roof with somebody who was absolutely terrified of getting struck.
Women.
Anyway, I think it came out pretty darn good for my first shot ever of lightning.
EDIT: I touched up the photo, and uploaded the full size one for a Print!

That's an excellent capture of lightning, first attempt or not. I still haven't had any success at it, but with lightning we always seem to get tons of rain too. Not the kind of thing to take a camera out in. Excellent colors also!

Thanks. Monsoons in Tucson are great. It can be raining across the street and your neighbor getting soaked, but on your side of the street not a drop.

I'll say! I took over 600 pictures during a huge thunderstorm today and I didn't get one single lightning shot.

i think that is an excellent lightning shot... especially for the first time ever... it took me 5+ tries (like different days/storms) until I finally got this [link] i got lucky. this is awesome, great color in that shot.

Thanks. I'm from Tucson, Arizona. Monsoon season here produces some pretty intense thunderclouds. Hoping to get more pics in the coming weeks/months
