The Kingdom of Syris
The Kingdom of Syris resides in the both the north and south hemispheres, though more so in the latter, and lies on the northern half of the continent to the west. The country is ruled by an absolute monarch who is determined by blood and nobility. The King holds all executive and legislative power although he is sometimes advised by a small council of nobles . Syris trades with Fraughfield , using their metals to forge the swords, shields, and armor for the military. Syris stretches across the Equator, so with a slightly humid climate in the north, agriculture vastly populates Syris's exports. They enjoy varied wildlife and constant rains, so food is never an issue; however, with limited trade partners their technology has not been allowed to progress as quickly as Fraughfield's. We would say Syris is the “medieval” country in the world. Syris consists of various fiefdoms of ranging sizes, each controlled by a noble family. The Valkyrie family is one of the more prominent families; as with many of the other fiefdoms, the territory was granted to the family in exchange for military allegiance.

The castle of Syris is protected by a high circular wall of mythril. A smaller gate of steel encases the outer lands that all lie in a greater circle around the center castle. Beyond the outer wall lie the battlefields that have been scourged by years of war with Henhue , rending the lands uninhabitable.

Hrist

Hrist is the current captain of the knights in the Kingdom of Syris and Lenneth's older sister. She was next in line to take charge after Karsh was asked to go on an important secret mission. She takes her job very seriously, and she is by far the most skilled fighter in Syris underneath Karsh.

Karsh was more than just her superior, though…they were also lovers. That is why Karsh's mission brought so much worry into her household. She grew up with him, and Karsh became like a brother to her younger sisters.

Later, Hrist was sent on a different mission by King Garland. Having been kept out of the loop, Lenneth and Ziedrich decide after Cloud's first attack on Syris that finding Hrist is their best bet on finding out what was truly happening out on the battlefield.

Season 2 Profile
Age: Deceased
Hrist was heralded as one of the Great Heroes who brought an end to the Parousia War one year ago. However, she was lost to the power of the Orexis Gemstone. Her brave sacrifice to restore the world of Minerva to its healthier state is known by all, as is the simultaneous sacrifice of Lenneth. The province of Valkyria has temporarily been given to the Syrisian Council of Nobles , who are currently in talks to split the territory amongst themselves. There are no more survivors of the Valkyrie family, after all.

In the city square of Valkyria’s capital, a memorial statue has been erected depicting all three Valkyrie sisters—even Silmeria, who was not blamed for the events that nearly brought Minerva spiraling toward destruction one year ago. Though the sisters have vanished from the world, they have not vanished from history.

And it seems, within the depths of the Planet’s memories, Hrist also has not been forgotten….

Silmeria

Central and important to the main story, Silmeria is Lenneth's younger sister. She lives in a rented out space inside a small tavern. After their parents' estate (and fortune) burned down when they were children, the girls did not have the option of having it rebuilt. However, Hrist opted out anyway, preferring to tough her way through the world and not rely on her parents' name to earn sympathy.

Silmeria, despite being from the noble House of Valkyrie, does not enjoy battling; she usually stays home and does the chores while the other two are out on missions. She does come to support them during training, even if only as a spectator.

Hrist and Lenneth sheltered Silmeria completely while growing up, turning her into a bit of a social klutz. She's very shy and timid, and her feelings are hurt easily. Silmeria realizes this, however, making her rather self-conscious and dissatisfied. Lenneth and Hrist ARE extremely overprotective, though, and the reason for that may run deeper than they realize….

Silmeria always seems to have a high body temperature; it is as though an aura of heat is constantly emanating from her body. However, she never feels ill. She also has constant vivid nightmares of the night her parents were killed in the house fire….

Silmeria is originally from the RPG series Valkyrie Profile, though in FFC her appearance and personality more closely resemble her reincarnation Alicia. She is voiced by me.

Arngrim

Arngrim first appears in Episode 05 of Season 1, and he is a blacksmith that works in the center city of Syris around the castle. Despite knowing that she is taken, he constantly hits on Hrist (and secretly takes pictures of her with a Fraughfield-make camera…).

Arngrim is originally from the RPG series Valkyrie Profile, and he is voiced by my cousin.
