Description I AM FINISHED O___O *dies* (no comment from Tse please ) I'm sorry, *FreeMaree for the long time...

This took me so long. She posted her part of the trade like... in January. [link] See it here. It's of my horse character Night.
When I started it I thought it was going to be my best piece ever, now I'm not sure of -that- anymore, but I DO still like it. But I have a feeling the legs are too long.

Anyway this is Spirit, FreeMaree's own horse, which I have drawn. A WIP is in my scraps, but I have changed the background for various reasons, one of them is that Spirit was blending in with the background far too much >.>
So I hope you like it, and I'd love to see comments. No critique on the horse's colors and such please. It is an EXISTING horse so I didn't have the choice. I could have balanced the pic out a bit better and such as well, I know that.

Time taken: Rough guess around 15 hours

Haha thank you I like the background too. It's the only thing I still like, haha xD The two pieces you commented on now feel like some of my worst pieces in my gallery, lol

This turned out really nicely! I love the look of the background and how it offsets Spirit's colour (which is gorgeous). The mane's really pretty, and I love the eye and the facial details... Glad to be helpful as well.

Aye I know that. Was a problem with my 'Caline' pic as well. I'm working on getting better with mane and tails, trying out different techniques and the like. Still not improving much I think but I do get an idea of what I can do, the possibilities.

w00w love this ^^ I agree that those legs are quite too long (and too big in general) for the body, but that's just me knowing too many horses I guess but the tail and the manes are very well done indeed, and this background really emphasizes the horse, it's just BEAUTIFUL!!

Wow, the background is very nice. I love the whole "marble-esque" backgrounds, but I've always just done them in grayscale, but in color, yum! The horse also has a very nice pelt color.
