Description Another piece mainly drawn in the train on my way to university and back - which is sometimes a challenge, due to all the movement.

I tried to make parts of the shading dark, but unfortunately my rather crappy scanner seems to not have picked up on that. I tried to edit that some with Photoshop, but it still doesn't look the way it should. Meh. I think this scanner is at least 8 years old, though; I should be happy it is still working at all XD

However, I suppose I am pleased with how this turned out. It was mainly meant to be a practice for my shading skills and I think I have improved some.

I love it I think its pose is slightly off, as if its left hindleg is right underneath its belly instead of underneath its flank, but it's amazingly hard to see from this angle and horse's legs always look weird when they're drawn to represent motion and you look too closely for too long. Maybe because in real life, you can't freeze a horse like that. But I think it's amazing you did this on the train as I think the details are great, and the tail very much so even though you say it was rushed. Great job ela you're still visibly getting better

The scan sucks, I can even tell without having seen the drawing I think you should buy a new scanner...

But, the drawing is great. The movement of the horse seems so natural

I wish this was free hand. I'm working on that XD. My last drawing was free hand and the horse I did before that was partly so. I mainly just looked at the reference, then put it away and drew that part from memory, etc. The lower parts of the legs were all drawn from memory because they weren't on the reference.

So yeah, mostly referenced, not everything though.
