It's hard to explain in words what this drawing means to me. It portrays Jaguar, the beautiful ¾ arabian I used to ride for three years and that I have known for 5,5 years.
She was one of the most constant things in my life during that time, one of those things that kept me going. In hard times, she would be one of the only ones able to cheer me up. Nice times, she made even better. I'd go to the stables, just to see her for a little while.

I miss this horse. I miss being able to sit with her after my riding lessons, while she ate and I just watched her. I miss riding her. I miss the understanding that I felt between us.

I do not know if I will ever see her again. I do know, that whatever happens, she will always have a special place in my heart.

Her owner moved her. The owner had said she would contact me so I would still be able to see Jag sometimes, but I haven't heard anything from her so far.

really lovely work on the coat texture and shine, it has a very realistic and natural look. I like how you handled the shading also especially where the legs closest to us meet and overlap the ones behind. you can see the thought and love put into this.

Loverly shading, really nice work. i really like your pencil technique And you really took your time to make this, i understand how important that horse must be for you, bondings between humans and animals can really be strong

It's very beautiful I like the shading a lot, and I like the way you've only drawn the grass on the spaces where she touches the ground.
I haven't seen the drawing in real life, since you've finished it, but it looked better in real life. I don't know if you made it look worse after that (I assume not so) so I have to say that I think you're scanner made it look not as good as it is. You probably also added too much contrast (more than in real, which I liked better xD)

I'm glad you like it. And I totally agree, the scanner seriously f*cked it up. I did add some contrast in Photoshop, which was the only way I could make it look even a little bit like the original... but when I then opened it in PSP it looked as if it had way to much contrast, while in PS it looked fine. So I didn't really know what I should do with it X"D Which is probably why the contrast looks a little bit off.

So to everyone who reads this: come here and see it in real life D< It's way way way better. And I hate my scanner. It's like almost 10 years old now.

Well, you sound like she is dead :3 I'm happy to say she isn't. The owner just moved her to some other stables where I cannot see her anymore.
