It'd have to be cleaned up first, but I think you're right. If it were a book cover, I'd have taken much more time to work on it and make it prettier. But for the two hours it took, it's not bad!

time and practice are wonderful things... I always found that by studying the artists I envied I could absorb portions of their style to help better mine. This isn't cheating or copying... in fact, some of the most famous Japanese manga artists agree with me. Yu Watase, creator of Fushigi Yugi and Ceres, said almost the exact same thing. The thing is, I came up with the idea on my own. But as both of us say, as long as you develop your own style in the end... it's ok. (Since COMPLETELY stealing a style isn't so hot.)

Oh.. well then. LOL. Thanks for LISTENING to stuff you already knew. ^_^; But yeah.. practice is good. Though sometimes I find that if I take long breaks from art I come back and I'm better than I was before as long as I come back with some inspiration. If it's some inspiration that makes me draw again after a period of not drawing, I'm better than before.... NOT not having inspiration or not feeling like drawing. Sometimes it's just that I don't have time....
