If you guys don't mind, I'm just gonna quietly ignore the fact that it took me a month to upload the next deviation in this 'biweekly' series hahaha /shot To be fair though, I have been really busy with all sorts of things, mostly pertaining to my master's application. The fact that this portrait featured three instead of one character didn't help either
I don't think there's many people who don't recognize these guys. Pokémon was my 'first' anime, in that I had some vague awareness that it was made in Japan. It would still be many years before I seriously set foot on the path to becoming the anime nerd I am now, but this franchise still holds a special place in my heart, extending even to the clumsy card games me and my sister used to play with our Pokécards. It was only quite recently I found out she was unbeatable not because of her superior cards or big sister awesomeness, but plain old cheating
Ah, those good old days...Anyway, I really loved Jessie, James and Meowth for their quirky antics, especially in the few episodes they tried doing good or grudgingly admitted their feeling of camaraderie to each other. I had fun coming up with their semi-realist designs; I think Jessie would have quite sharp features giving her a unique appeal that perhaps would not be to everyone's taste, while James would be more classically good-looking with the potential of becoming a lady-killer, if only he didn't have such a doormat personality from being bossed around by the girls in his life.
I guess all that remain is to tell y'all to...
Prepare for trouble...and make it double! I don't actually know the English version of their motto, but can still recite the Dutch version by heart!

I gotta say, this is extremely good...
As a long-time pokemon fan, this trio lies somewhat close to my heart (James is still the pokemon master) and the way you've portrayed them here makes them seem... (words are difficult to find) human. Like, they're not the clumsy, always complaining, failing villains like in the anime, but they seem somewhat happy with their situation and they seem to be confident with what they're doing, even if they fail to reach their goal all the time.
Also, Meowth looks AMAZING!

The anime was the first anime I ever watched, so these three are pretty important to me, but I'd say the way you made them look might be better than in the anime. If there were to be a remake type of thing, I'd want them to look like this!

I think this is one of the most 'realistic' out of the series, you really did them well. I love Meowth! But the hairs are very well too, I think they add to the realistic effect. Good job!
you know what, I think the Portuguese motto translation (At least the beginning) is exactly the same as the Dutch translation but I don't actually remember it that well now that I think of it ahah I was such a fan of Pokémon back then)

That's probably because it's the most recent - I find that I keep adding detail with every next portrait as I get the hang of this style...though it also means that it takes me more and more time to finish them

yes, it's natural - and good - that you improve in each drawing
ahah I'm not completely sure though, finding a Portuguese version from Portugal isn't as easy as finding the Brazilian Portuguese one, but I think it's very similar to the Dutch
