Description EDIT: Changed one last step;
Rather than inverting, use the duotone (explained in there). Thanks again ~Ethereal-Mind

I honestly should stop making these. Cause then I'll run out of stuff to teach you guys D:

So the next thing you MIGHT learn will be Layer Masking. I really don't know if I should teach you guys that. I personally wanna find more things first.
If I find something else, I'll make a tutorial of it. Till then, I need to continue storyboarding for one of my own projects...

When you select the gradient tool, you'll have 5 options (or you should). One is the standard line/ half-gradient, then circular, and 3 others.

You can also refer to this: [link]

The one thats highlighted in red is the one you want to use.

My brother actually gave me another tip instead. I'll have to update this D:

So basically, skip the inverting step. Instead, do

Image > Adjustments > Duotone

I'll edit it again..whenever, just incase people get lost
And besides, doing that duotone saves you some time, instead of inverting/ creating a new layer.

Thank you for the tutorial, i was trying to figure out how to use halftone dots at work.

Also, when you have the halftone dots and want to change the color. Instead of doing the invert color you can go to image>mode>greyscale and then go to image>mode>duotone and change the overall color from there.

TRY IT!

Same D:

Took me awhile to figure out what the heck that filter was even for..in RGB, it just goes all ugly :T

The Filter > Sketch > Half-Tone doesnt do anything..well. I suppose it KINDA helps if you do like a manga page for minor textures..
