Description
The world has settled into a (mostly) peaceful state. The ship of the Americas meanwhile has 4 more years of peace and stability. Though this does not mean the world is perfect. Far from it. Italy, Japan, and Iran still rule with fists of steel- forged from the furnace of Glorianism. Russia meanwhile is still stirring with discontent. Being turned form a world-rate superpower to a mere puppet regime of your former allies does not leave a good mark with her people. And the newly independent Eastern European and Caucasian states have begun squabbling over each other for petty territories or grudges that are older than the history of America. Meanwhile France- while she does not pay in Francs nor in oil, shall pay instead in restrictions. A council of Allied appointed politicians and thinkers sits in Paris- watching every move- ready to tell to strike should Paris gain new ideas of her own. Furthermore- no new states or territories are allowed to be added to the French Empire- as to prevent her from gaining any ideas of a new empire. This has stirred uproar form the citizens of the mainland, but to many French thinkers and realists- it is one of the best possible outcomes. France- while she was an ally- was also an enemy- and as such- must be punished- but not so harsh as to turn the newly minted French Republic into another enemy.
Across the seas, the US sits at the helm of a massive empire- an empire that is expected to grow larger in the coming years with the admission of Central America, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuador as Autonomous Republic's or as states. While the United States does not sit alone as the sole superpower among the world- her distance from the war only let her industrial and political might grow and expand. Meanwhile she has
gone through 4 different Presidential regimes rather peaceably and swiftly. Experimenting with nearly every corner of the right-wing political spectrum and now seemingly settling on one that benefits her peoples as much as it benefits her government. Though as the 1960's approach- new ideologies have come to fill in the gaps left by the Militiamen, Legion, and the YAG- whether or not they shall be reskinned shells of the old- or new and fresh ideas for the republic to celebrate and experiment further with. It seems as though the American Experiment is far from over and has only truly begun.
The world sits in baited breath as to what the next world-changing event will be. Many eagerly look to the stars once again. With the war over- perhaps the rockets and missiles of war could be used to blast away to space, instead of blasting away cities? Mankind has touched the ceiling of our Earthly home- with all its mess now mostly sorted out now could be a good time to start working on flying high beyond the roof of our Earthly domain.
(A) The First True Term- The CAPP now has access to the US's resources for 4 years. Hopefully the golden eagle shall shine brightly upon America's citizens.
3 options for this choice!
Repatriate the Lost- The horrors of war drove hundreds of thousands from thier homes, hopefully we can encourage them on thier way home to help rebuild thier communities, families, and nations.
or
Integrate the Unfortunate- Many have lost thier homes and friends in this decade long struggle. Many of them simply don't have anything or even less back home than they do here. It'd be unfair to send them back to a ruined home instead of letting them build anew here.
Sol Arejoa- Arejoa has a fixation for the Sun for a reason- the state is one of the most sunniest places in the US, its often cloudless and warm all-year long. A perfect environment to make kickstart a 2nd branch of solar power across the Pacific.
Texan Nuclear- If we truly are to go 'green' then why not make use of the massive uranium deposits below Texas and the other southwestern states? A power source that could last for decades- and could light up the Southwest brighter than the Sun!
Ute Energy- The state of Ute has two major rivers flowing through- the Colorado- and the Rio Grande. Damn them up and we could not only add 2 lakes to Ute, but give the Rockies a source of fresh energy.
Keep the 'Alliance'- The CAPP and NASA are like two peas in a pod, we were made for each other, with the two parties together we will keep America stable, running, and free! We may disagree on a few issues, but that doesn't mean we should break it off.
or
Find new Partners- The CAPP are slowly losing thier values by being tied to a bunch of light technocrats who have a space fetish. Its time to find a new party to collaborate with and further the nations interests together!
(B) External Policy- The CAPP shall be adamant in defending democracy and the interests of the American people in one fashion or another.
3 options! Ya can't pick 2 options connected by a dotted red line.
Containment- The Glorians are the next biggest threat- and as such- should be looked on with scrutiny, be kept within arms reach, and above all- be held on a short leash.
or
Détente- We don't like each other, but that shouldn't mean we naturally shift towards hared of each other. Antagonizing the Italians and thier Glorian allies will only make the world ripe for a third world war.
Reforming the ILN- The ILN requires a few new coats of paint as well as true global co-operation. The ILN failed before thanks to the exclusion of the Utopian nations and other 'rouge states'. We must rebuild it with the co-operation of the whole world this time.
or
The Trans-Atlantic Accords- The defense of the whole world is not our priority- it should be our general area, and as such the T.A.A. shall be born to create a defensive pact that will encompass the free nations of the Atlantic. The added bonus being many of our Atlantic brothers and sisters span the whole of the world- meaning we could theoretically defend the whole world should it come to it- but as said before- our homelands and the Atlantic are the biggest priority.
Further Imperial Democratization- The Imperial Federation is slowly federalizing in the wake of the 2nd World War. Perhaps if we nudge the scales a bit and give a few hints to the right people- the Imperial Federation could one day become a true democracy- from Borealia to the Raj.
or
Encourage Chinese Democracy- While the Kuomintang have been defeated by the Chinese Empire, the legacy of Chiang Kai-Shek still lingers and the Republic of Formosa stands tall that Chinese democracy is possible. While Emperor Puyi is a cold man, he can still be reasoned with.
(C) The Next Election- 1960 shall be an interesting election year, 6 parties- 4 of which are new- shall join the fray. Oh woe. It seems as though the people shall never settle on two parties.
1 option can be picked. Its an election, but just to be safe.
Genovese's Final Years- Should the CAPP do a good job this term, it may be possible to see the CAPP and President Genovese gain a 2nd term as Presidency- completing his 10 total maximum years in office and 10 years of Golden CAPP glory.
A 2nd NASA Presidency- Rautenstrauch has not yet given up hope for the upcoming decades- if you vote for Starch- he promises to have not just a man in space- but a manned based on the Moon by the 70's and a slight reformation of the American nation to better its democratic structure.
One World, One America- Huxley- rather odd fellow has spun off and formed his own party that believes in mass industrialization, mass space exploration, and unifications of all nations on Earth into one singular nation. Huxley promises that under his term- American troops shall not be sent to die across the seas.
Towards the Future- The Futurist Party USA- a recent creation- has promised to further America and her neighbors into the world of tomorrow- and turn it into today! Progressive ideas, new technology, and a brighter future are in store if you vote for Simpson Stevens!
Knowledge is Power- The Humanists have offered a solution to the political woes of America by remodeling the Union off of the older republics of Greece and Rome- a republic led by the brightest and wisest minds. A Congress removed of politicians, and replaced instead with the highest minds of America. Vote for Martin Richter and launch the US into an age of new knowledge!
A New America- The New Reformed American Movement promises to help undo the mistakes of the YAG and further American democracy in a truly better way. While many have been skeptical of a YAG breakoff, the parties leader, J.V.Q. Scott has promised to distance himself and his policies from Rockwell and the YAG Presidency.
And a slight independent choice. Sokoto has long been a joint-mandate of the UK and America following the first World War, perhaps now in an era of self-determination, we should let the people of Sokoto free to decide thier own path.
[YES] to let Sokoto free.
[NO] to keep Sokoto under mandate control.
