Interesting piece. I love the skulls and how they conflict with the blooming flowers on the weathered bureau (or whatever that might be).

I like that there are more skulls than flowers and how it makes you wonder which side is winning...death with all it's victories or life with it's beginning of blossoms?

Most definitely a not only because of it's beautiful composition and cool texture but because it's a photograph that made me stop and contemplate things while I enjoyed it.

Job well done!

looking back on this I've always wondered how you made this look so soft? did you manipulate it later or was it just a very hazzy day with a small sized window of light?

I've looked at this many times but never commented. wonderful work!

It was quite dark in this place and the light outside was very bright (I think it was in the middle of the day). The main light source is the small window in the upper left corner and the light bleeds into the rest of the frame. I have lightened the shot a bit in photoshop with curves but the light in it self is as it is.

Thanks for the comment. Means a lot.

brillient, that makes perfect sense. it's actualy a softening technique used in dramatic ciematography. Wonderful work.

Thanks a lot for the comment and the fav!!

It's taken on a very high ISO setting and then I'ts very overexposed (or rather, I upped the levels in PS). And I think the textures of the place worked helped as well to make it look like watercolor.

The lighting and textures in this place are just amazing. Excellent composition and exposure!

The contrast of light and dark in opposite corners, as well as the live plant and skulls, combines perfectly with the arches that come down to blend with the corner hutch. Fantastic primary shapes.

This is a shot that is very easy to look at and study. It can make one think for hours.

Something seems a little out of scale. Are the skulls on the wall those of small children, or is the hutch larger than I think it is?

Wonderful work!

Thanks a lot for that wonderful comment!

I think the hutch might be bigger than you think because the sculls are all 'normal size'.

Photo? Looks more like watercolors to me
Light colors of the wall makes it even more paintinglike.
Wonder what's your trick (yeah I read that it's is taken in quite dark without tripod but it can't be all)

I can feel the oldness of that building, must be those textures.
Definetely a

I think it might be the textures and noise together kind of makes it look like it's painted. Other than that I don't now... I've applied a slight unsharp mask and softening too...

Thanks a lot for the comment and the fav! Very appreciated!
