Description The constellation shark also known as (Isistius diporus) is a close relative of the cookie cutter shark. The diet of I. diporus is mostly made up of the bark and sap of the fern mangrove trees. During the breeding season they will school at night in large swarms of several hundreds and breed. The females will lay 20/28 eggs. The conservation status is endangered as they are hunted for shark fin soup. They are also pouched for the pet trade as they look pretty.
