Description The mimic squid fish/the squid mola which is also known as Ranzania trilodontus  is a member of the ocean sunfish family. It has evolved to mimic the trilodont squid for protection from the many predators in the waters around the Korongo Islands. This animal mostly feeds on algae and plankton like most other members of the sunfish family. The mimic squid fish breeds during late fall. The female will lay 20/30 eggs. The eggs are laid on the males, and they will hatch after 5 days. Then the father will protect the young for 3 months until the young can defend themselves. This animal's natural predators are rainbow needle fish, and shark spinodonts. These animal conservation statues is least concern. The species population is actually growing like the trilodont squid that this animal mimics.
