Description The trilodont squid which is also known as Loligo trilodontus is a squid that is endemic to the Korongo island chain. This animal's only identifiable difference to over animals in the Loligo genus is the vertical fins (which move the same way as over squids). This animal mostly feeds on krill, trilodonts, scorpidonts, and crabs. This animal breeds during early fall. The males will form large groups and rapidly change colors. The females will pick the males with the brightest color. However some males will pretend to be females and then brig with a males females. The trilodont squids natural predators are rainbow needle fish, and shark spinodonts the lack of many predators is due to a venom this animal has. This animal's conservation statues is least concern.
