Description Inspired by ~anna-earwen to actually use my macro lens, I had an amble around and shot some tiny little alpine plants - that blade is no more than 10mm tall.

Contrast tweaked with =jjuuhhaa 's unsharp mask method.

I'm decidedly mediocre at macro, so any creative/technical criticism would be appreciated!

Amazing Colors, impressive Depth Of Field, insane focusing.

I swear, you can turn almost anything into an interesting macro photograph. Although I feel stupid spending £250 on a lens I barely use...

I think you did a fine job at it! Like the cropping and the colors just POP!

Mm, I wouldn't say this is mediocre at all. The composition of the image is nice, with the rising of successively more in focus points in the lower portion of the image. No real concrit.

Ahhh cheers!

I was surprised at the ultra-tight DoF, even at f/9.
