unknown man, you make fairy tale with your picture - fairy tale with motives of 30, 40`s years from XX century.Congratulations for colors for shadows for everything.

This is awesome, like if New York City more resembled Metropolis from Superman comics.

In fact, if Superman was leaping through the sky in his retro 1930s uniform, this piece would look really cool, as well as give it a more surreal, more otherworldly feel.

Actually, it would be really cool if you did a dieselpunk version of the Justice League. Like Bat-Man flying a version of one of the Cockchafers, or Green Lantern fighting a robot of some kind.

Also, I just wanted to ask, is "Stormy Weather" a Superman-themed picture, or was that just an inspiration?

I thank you very much for your message, your kind words and your interest in what I do. It really means a lot to me.
What you said is very interesting and matches an idea I have in mind for long : a Dieselpunk style comic. It's nice that you thought about it, too.
Answering your question, the Superman theme was just an inspiration for the Stormy Weather picture.
The latest picture I just uploaded, News, is dedicated to you : your note truly inspired it, for obvious reasons !
Thanks again. I know I'm going to give a lot of thinking to your suggestion...

I'm glad you enjoyed Diesel City. This still ongoing concept a very dear one to me and I haven't lost all hopes to do something out of it.

I love them. It reminds me of Steampunk, only instead of Victorian technology, dress, etc., using 1930s and 1940s, plus propaganda, etc. If you find any photos of mine that you want to use for stock for photo manipulations, feel free to grab it!

Well... that's the very idea of Dieselpunk, as you know, now ! Thank you very much for your permission about using some of your great photographic work. I had thought about it, but hesitated to ask you, fearing you may want your photos to be manipulated by no other than yourself, which is quite understandable, I'd say. Thanks a lot, anyway.

For some reason this piece has a very eerie-almost unearthly-feeling about it. One might believe it was a ghost city, appearing under the moonlight only to be swallowed in the morning mist.

All in all, a most intriguing composition.

Not a problem.

I was hoping I could delve into this sort of media eventually, but I wouldn't know where to start...

Why not start...with what you enjoy most ?

Well...I'm not sure anyone would find pictures of some dorky college kid procrastinating on DeviantArt all that interesting.

No worries though, I've already got an idea or three sketched out. I just need a camera and the necessary software...

Which programs did you use for this piece, if you don't mind me asking?
