Your knowledge of period dresses is displayed well through this piece. I love your sketching style as well. Looking closely this fairly sketchy, however it still has the feel of a fully completed piece because your composition is so wonderful. Definitely a pleasant picture to look at. <3

Wow this is amazing I wish when I drew people they turned out even a tiny bit like this - I love the way your fabric folds and you've captured the look of the period just right I think definitly a fave

My favorite is Amelia, love her expression.
I have seen a couple of Deviants have colored them, can I too?

Thanks! Have you thought of drawing some early 18th century characters? I'd love to see it!

Oh I've thought of drawing so many things and so many fashion styles I don't know if I'll ever have the time to actually do so. haha
I'm still working on that early 17th dress though, but the first one I had to get rid of since it looked absolutely awful. >_o

Yes it's unfortunate. But I draw as much as I possibly can, and lately I seem to have improved a little bit. That always feels rewarding.

That's great. I'm actually working on all this George Boleyn stuff because I haven't painted anything since December. Quelle horreur!

Thank you!
Yes, Victoria's bourgeois personality is totally understandable when you see what an absurd circus her family was like. The Prince Regent and his brothers were so awful and narcissitic, they make George II and his family look bearable.
Speaking of which, have you seen the trailer for "The Young Victoria"? It looks amazing!

No I haven't. I'll have to go search you-tube for it!
I know. They didn't even train her to become queen, they gave her music lessons and drawing lessons. If it weren't for Lord Melbourne she would have been an aweful Queen.

She was pretty lucky. Things could have ended pretty disastrously for her, like Isabella II of Spain.
Have you seen the trailer yet? [link] It looks so gorgeous!

Yeah. If it weren't for Melbourne she would have been in big trouble. However I think she became a little over-dependent on him towards the end. I mean she threw such a fit when he left that he came back for another short stint.
Same with Albert, so much so that it actually made him ill towards the mid 1850's.

I know. I'm only in the middle of the books, so I'm not sure exactly what happens next. Of course it doesn't help that her nefew was Keizer Wilhelm II of Germany. Talk about your problem children, lol

Me too! Like I understand the hype about Queen Elizabeth I, but for some reason I find myself drawn to Victoria more. I think it's because I always have a soft spot for people who have rough lives, are used/underappreciated.
Victoria's childhood, her mother, and that John Conway guy, used her to try and get money. Luckily King William IV lived long enough for Victoria to turn 18 where she no longer needed a regent, and then she shut them off, but still.
