Awesome shot, I love it, some great colours.. I agree it would look a bit better with L glass (I've got the 24-70 adn 70-200.. aiming to get the 100-400 soon)

yeah I use the 10-22mm most of the time for landscapes.. I do use the 70-200mm occasionally though

Best colors of the series - makes up for the lack in sharpness...
A 1 second or 4 second exposure would not make that much of a difference. Better to stop the lens to f-11 - it is usually a better spot optically!

quite right.. thanks for pointing out what I know but did not do... my thought was to shallow dof the sea but at this distance it probably wasn'tgoing to happen! I have a f10 shot but it was windy and I musta got some movement.

That is always a compromise - speed VS DOF - if you have a stable tripod, that shouldn't be a problem - or use a beenbag and timer release - probably more stable then most tripods!

Great colours on this shot. Love the slightly over saturated look of it... really brings out some of the details like what aprears to be rust on the lighthouse.
