Earth Bending: Despite not going out and searching for a fight, Zhi's skills in earth bending are rather developed due to the fact that he and his siblings often sparred back at home.

Fishing: At his old residence in Ba Sing Se, his father always took him out fishing. Upon moving to Republic City, he thought that he might as well make a living doing what he loves!

Eating: Yes, this is a skill, thank you very much! The boy needs enough food so he can continue his work. Earth bending and fishing ain't easy, y'know!

If one word could be used to describe Zhi Hou, it would be Psyduck. He's a goofy, friendly, and charismatic guy for the most part. Smiling and socializing are some of the many things he love to do! He'll try his best to make his friends, and even strangers, smile when they're having a bad day! Not only that, but Zhi insists on helping if he ever sees someone struggle.

On the other hand, his dramatic sense of humor can come off as a nuisance. Whenever a fight arises among his friends, Zhi always attempts to make the best of it and ramatically falls to the ground, screaming in defeat or victory. It's not uncommon for the lad to do this in inapropro situations, making him come off as that one kid who can't take things seriously.

It seemed like yesterday that the dear Psyduck was born.

Zhi grew up with his mother, father, and younger sisters in a large family. It was quite cozy, although a bit crowded if you asked him! It was a family filled with morals and acceptance. For example, even if his father wasn't gifted with the ability to bend, he still taught everyone in the Hou family important life skills. With a father who focused on supplying his family with necessities, it was up to their mother to teach them how to bend. Needless to say, it went pretty well!

While growing up, the Hou kids often went out back and sparred as well as competed. The main focus of their competition was to see who can bend the rock the furthest. They became a closely knit trio of kids and still are to this day.

It was the day of Zhi's 17th birthday and he still haven't evolved from a Psyduck. His father took him out to Republic City in order to deliver some merchandise and boy was he pumped! Upon arrival, the boy was stunned silent! Once gaining his ability to speak, he begged his father to let him move here. Due to the lack of money, however, he wasn't able to.

During those long, four years, Zhi has been saving his earnings to help pay for the expenses and voila! He made his way into Republic City and now lives in a small apartment a few blocks away from his fish stand.

It was a nice, sunny day out. With the sun shining against his back and the gentle breeze ruffling his hair, Zhi hummed a marry tune. The boy was currently at a fishing hole on the outskirts of Republic City and was completely content. To anyone who knew him, or even seen him, it was a rare sight! It wasn't everyday that the boy was caught in a calm state. Then again, he sort of had to- he was fishing for crying out loud! Two essential qualities, which normally wasn't associated with Zhi, was calmness and patience.

A deep sigh escaped his lips thinking about it, he didn't seem that energetic... did he? Whatever, though. Nothing wrong with enjoying the beauty of life! This continued for quite a while until something awoke Zhi from his dream like state.

He felt a tug..

Twice..

Regaining his wits, the boy reeled in his line and caught a large fish. Unhooking it and throwing it into his bucket, he let out a loud "Yes!" full of satisfaction and returned home that day with a bucket full of fish.
