Yes, I have decided to try the 100 Themes Challenge (find more about it at *100ThemesChallenge ) Variation #1. I'm going to use them as design inspiration, for costumes or clothing or whatever else strikes me. I got enough ideas just re-writing the list on a sheet of paper to keep in my sketchbook, so it's already working!So, I decided I'd start with the first one, Introduction. This is (a very stylized) version of myself.
Hello! My name is Sam, and I make costumes, clothing, and other randomness. I dabble in various drawing stuffs, but usually not very often. I'm a recluse, and rather annoying, and lots of other things in addition.
The outfit is what Id like to make in time for the Bristol RenFaire, but I doubt it will be done - I'll probably be wearing whatever I have on hand, just for fun (with wings, of course!)
So... yeah! First one, done! I feel accomplished! Not the best coloring, but still, it's colored, and that's what matters!

be warned, a LOT of shops have moved to different spots. Do you remember the crown shop with the misters? they are gone, so no more misters near the flushies. :<

I love the feather place! That sells the hair things, and other cute things out of feathers
And the place, I think it's called "Midsummers Knights Dream" that sells the puppets - I hope they have something new this year; Otherwise, I'm going to wind up with more dragons

If you go to the fan place (still in the same spot) and see a red haired lady, her name is Dawn. She is full of all kinds of epic and win. She is one of the heads of MoonHowler productions. They put on the biggest haunted house in Hong Kong, and used to do Haunt fest around here. She is an awesome person.
And I know the 2nd booth your taking about. I want to pick up a shoulder dragon. Maybe not this year but hopefully next.

I really like the leg here, it makes it so we can be sure you don't see the ideal you as anorexically skinny (Hurrah!)

I like the swirls around the sides neat as well, and how the hair frames the face is beautiful.

:: hugs :: I really have started to detest the super skinny image that's in the media, and I've never found it pretty!
Once you take away all of the sickliness, put a little meat on there, give it a healthy glow, then they'll look beautiful!
Technically, I'm overweight, but I like how I look (yeah, like anyone else, I'd change a few things, like the "wings"/arm flub, and my thighs would be a little more toned), but it's nothing that bugs me enough to see my body anything less than beautiful. I just wish I could give this confidence to everyone. ^^

It could become a downside if you let that happen. You shouldn't let anything be a limiting factor for your designs, I think you should design things, and if you cannot make it, you still have a awesome design... I think that once you try something new you will be able to make it... it'll take some time, but still...
