27: ForeignThis actually went through quite a few phases, and morphed into this after about an hour of sketching randomly, and just continuing to add and add and add... this one has been the longest investment of time I've put into a design so far, and I'm quite proud of the final!
I wanted something that was not Japanese or even Asian for this one, so here is my over-stylized African something-or-other - none of this is remotely accurate, I'm sure, but I loved the idea of scaled gold plates for the necklace, and then the sash, and then adding all the straps, finishing it off with black pheasant feathers for a train in the back.
I did try to research colors, but I couldn't gracefully incorporate blue into it, so it stayed rather monochromatic with golds and reds, with a bit of green in the bottom of the skirt, as well as in the feathers.
Definitely the farthest away from my normal comfort zone I've ever gotten, and I love it!

Ooohhh I love this, it does have an african scheme if you ask me. Those are the colors you see in most african patterns and clothing. So I think You did a good job.

They're hiring wardrobe type people for next to nothing, but I have a feeling, if I went in, applied for the job, and even did it for a while, I'd be hired into the shop in no time, I'm sure of it. I don't know how to work with spandex, but I can learn quick

It reminds me a little more of the tropical Americas than Africa: the colors are reminiscent of brightly-plumed birds. It's a really neat design!!

Tropical birds, and tropical flowers, have some of the most beautiful and vibrant colors! I love how you've utilized them without being gaudy.
